LAFC return to MLS action this weekend to play host to Houston Dynamo at BMO Stadium.

The Black and Gold are coming off a 1-0 triumph over Seattle Sounders in US Open Cup semifinals action as Denis Bouanga scored the lone goal from the penalty spot to give his side the win. It was a much-needed win for LAFC after their 3-1 defeat to Columbus Crew in the Leagues Cup final just a few days prior.

Houston fell 1-0 to Toronto FC in their return to MLS play with Prince Osei Owusu scoring the winning goal for the visitors. It hasn't exactly been the year the Dynamo and head coach Ben Olsen have been hoping for with as the team is just inside the playoff picture in eighth place in the Western Conference standings.

LAFC vs Houston Dynamo score prediction

The Black and Gold will be fully focused on getting to winning ways in MLS play after their shortcomings in Leagues Cup. While they have a decent shot at winning the Open Cup against Sporting Kansas City, they still won't sacrifice their chances of more silverware in MLS Cup after their previous disappointments -- Steve Cherundolo will still look to go all-in on the postseason.

LAFC will triumph in a comfortable 2-0 win at home with Bouanga grabbing a brace to lead the team to their 15th league win of the season.

Prediction: LAFC 2-0 Houston Dynamo
