One of either Barnsley or Sheffield Wednesday will be joining the Championship next season as they compete in the 2022/23 League One play-off final.
Both of this season's meetings during the regular season finished in Barnsley's favour - a 2-0 win at Hillsborough back in September before a crushing 4-2 win at Oakwell in March - but that will mean little when the two teams arrive in the capital.
Sheffield Wednesday finished the season ten points ahead of Barnsley and are full of confidence after their staggering comeback win over Peterborough in the semi-finals, though Darren Moore's side will know the job is only half done as they prepare to face a side who saw off the threat of Bolton.
Barnsley will be looking to put this season's head-to-head form with Sheffield Wednesday into the League One, though the latter's ten-point advantage come the end of the 46 games will fill them with confidence that Championship football is within their reach.

When and where is the League One play-off final?
The 2022/23 League One play-off final will be contested at Wembley on Monday 29 May at 15:00 BST, with the victors joining automatic promotion duo Plymouth and Ipswich in the second tier.
For Barnsley it's a chance to earn an immediate return to the second tier of English football, which they last secured during the 2015/16 season when Preston North End were seen off in the play-off final.
Sheffield Wednesday are looking to avenge last season's play-off misery and have already gone a step further than the 2021/22 semi-final exit to Sunderland. They were last in the Championship in 2020/21, when they finished rock bottom of the table to end a nine-year stay in the division.

How much is a League One play-off final ticket?
Tickets to the League One play-off final are sold through both club's official websites.
The tickets are split into six categories depending on their proximity inside the stadium and offer a variation in price depending on the age of the recipient. Prices range between £15 and £80 are broken down into adults, young adults - for those between the ages of 17 and 21 - and concessions, which applies to supporters under the age of 16 and above the age of 60.
Season ticket holders with 540+ points have been given a priority date to secure tickets, while those with over 460+ points are given second priority for Sheffield Wednesday. Tickets may then reach general sale depending on availability and information will be released by the club in due course.

How many tickets do Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday get for the League One play-off final?
Sheffield Wednesday have been allocated 36,634 tickets for their day out at Wembley, though that allocation could increase if the club are able to sell out their initial batch.
Barnsley's official ticket allocation has yet to be officially released but it's likely they will be afforded the same number of tickets in the interest of fairness.
Barnsley's journey to the League One play-off final
Barnsley finished fourth in the League One table by picking up 86 points from their 46 games - not a bad return for Michael Duff's side.
They narrowly overcome Bolton Wanderers in their two legged play-off semi-final, despite heading into the game off the back of a final day loss to Peterborough - who jumped above Derby in the table because of that result.
Nicky Cadden and Dion Charles cancelled each other out in a 1-1 first leg draw, with Liam Kitching proving to be the difference maker at Oakwell to secure a 2-1 aggregate win.
Sheffield Wednesday's journey to the League One play-off final
Darren Moore's Sheffield Wednesday somehow missed out on automatic promotion even though they totted up 96 points during the regular season.
It then looked as if Wednesday had blown their chance to go up after slumping to a dismal 4-0 defeat at Peterborough's Weston Holmes Stadium - a side who had earned a play-off berth by the skin of their teeth. No team had ever recovered from such a deficit in the play-off history, but a new chapter was written at Hillsborough when the teams collided for a second time.
Michael Smith and Lee Gregory put Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 up at half-time, giving them hope of completing a dream comeback, before Reece James made it three with 20 minutes to go. With the crowd on tenterhooks, Liam Palmer then dramatically pulled the Owls level in the eighth minute of stoppage time to take the game into extra-time.
Gregory's own goal and Callum Paterson's strike saw the game end 5-1 to Wednesday, taking the game to the lottery of a penalty shootout. Moore's side would win 5-3 to complete the most incredible comeback in play-off history.
