Leicester City 2022/23 season preview: How to watch, summer transfers & league prediction
By Tom Gott
2021/22 was a bit of a disappointment for Leicester, who dropped outside the European places on the back of some woeful away form and unconvincing defending from set pieces.
Fans had hoped to see some movement this summer to bolster the squad, but thus far, it has been an incredibly quiet few months for Leicester, who are battling squad size and Financial Fair Play rules while trying to do their business.
Ahead of the new campaign, here's everything you need to know about Leicester.

Leicester summer transfers
It's all tumbleweeds around the entrance to the King Power Stadium this summer, with Leicester currently the only Premier League club yet to make a signing.
As far as departures go, goalkeepers Kasper Schmeichel and Eldin Jakupovic are the only confirmed departures from the first team so far.

Leicester key players 2022/23
Star player
A lot can change between now and the end of the summer transfer window, so this may change before the season gets underway.
With Leicester still in the same shape as last year, it's still the usual heavy hitters who will be leading the charge. At the back, Wesley Fofana will hopefully be the rock, while big names like Youri Tielemans, Jamie Vardy and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will have a lot of work to do, but the key to Leicester's success this year will be the form of playmaker James Maddison.
With one eye on a spot in England's World Cup squad, Maddison went on a tear towards the end of last season and will be looking to replicate that. No wonder bids from Newcastle are being brushed aside.
One to watch
Again, with no new players, there isn't much of a potential breakout star in Brendan Rodgers' squad.
So, in the interest of keeping things exciting, let's give some attention to England Under-18 captain Sammy Braybrooke, a playmaker who has forced his way into Rodgers' plans during pre-season.
The 18-year-old, who spends most of his time as a deep-lying playmaker, probably isn't going to see a whole lot of minutes this season, but if Rodgers wants to shake things up, Braybrooke is his best bet as it stands.

Leicester Premier League prediction
Leicester finished eighth last season and enter this year with what is effectively the exact same squad, so expecting any significant changes hardly seems like the right move.
In reality, this Foxes squad is a little bit older, a little bit weaker and will play through speculation about the futures of a handful of their most important players. They are all the ingredients for a massive collapse.
We don't see Leicester falling apart this year, but the Foxes look set for another frustrating season and need to make changes soon before things really go downhill.
