Leicester City predicted lineup vs Leeds United - Premier League
By Max Parsons
Leicester City get back to Premier League matters on Sunday afternoon, as they travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United.
Brendan Rodgers side will be desperate to pick up three points, having failed to win in their last two after enjoying four straight victories. Their previous Premier League outing came at home to Arsenal, in which they were dispatched 2-0, before picking up a disappointing 1-1 draw against Spartak Moscow on Thursday night.
The Foxes sit a mediocre 11th in the table and face a Leeds side who have commenced the season terribly. The Whites occupy 17th place, although have enjoyed an upturn in form recently.
Here's who Rodgers could field to pick up a much-needed win.
Leicester City predicted lineup vs Leeds United - Premier League
1. Goalkeeper & Defenders
Kasper Schmeichel (GK) - Has failed to keep a clean sheet in any competition since the opening day of the Premier League - although that says more about the Foxes defence than the skipper.
Jannik Vestergaard (CB) - Daniel Amartey has started the previous two and, although he scored against Spartak, Vestergaard may come in to afford him a rest.
Jonny Evans (CB) - The most reliable option Rodgers has, the former Manchester United will likely be the voice and heart of that back line once more.
Caglar Soyuncu (CB) - Has come in for a fair bit of criticism in recent times - probably fair enough - but played well on Thursday and should feature once again.
2. Wing-backs & Midfielders
Timothy Castagne (RWB) - Has featured in each of the last eight Premier League fixtures, and will surely continue as the right wing-back against Leeds.
Youri Tielemans (CM) - Can do everything in the centre of the field, and is really developing into the star he always had the potential to be. Will aim to build on three goals and two assists already as Leicester visit Elland Road.
Boubakary Soumare (CM) - Has quietly impressed since his summer arrival from Lille and looks a really intelligent player.
Justin Thomas (LWB) - Ricardo Pereira could be back fit for Leicester, although Rodgers may opt to keep Thomas in the lineup to be cautious.
James Maddison (AM) - Has overcome the illness that kept him out of contention for the Foxes' Europa League game in midweek, and looks set to start behind the front line against Leeds.
3. Forwards
Kelechi Iheanacho (ST) - Hasn't recreated his sensational form from the back end of last season, but will likely start alongside Jamie Vardy in an attempt to get that partnership flowing again.
Jamie Vardy (ST) - The guy just doesn't lay down, does he? Was rested in midweek and will be raring to go and try to build on his seven Premier League strikes already this term.
