Leicester host Leeds United in the Premier League on Thursday night, desperately looking for three points to kickstart their season.

It's been a nightmarish start to the season for Brendan Rodgers' bottom of the table Foxes, who are stuck on a lowly five points after just one win in 10 games - against fellow east Midlands strugglers Nottingham Forest.

Leeds' bright start to the season has faded in recent games, with Jesse Marsch's now five without a win - though they were bright in the 1-0 to defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.

Here's 90min's preview of the game.

Leicester City team news

Leicester will have to do without key figure James Maddison as he serves a suspension for accumulating too many yellow cards. Jonny Evans is due to be assessed before kick-off, but remains a doubt.

Elsewhere, there are no new absences, with Ricardo Pereira (achilles), Ryan Bertrand (knee) and Wilfried Ndidi (thigh) all set to miss out.

Leeds United team news

Patrick Bamford's return to action is a welcome one for Leeds, despite his missing of a penalty against Arsenal on Sunday. He scored once and assisted twice in this fixture during the 2020/21 season, and could be key again this time around.

Junior Firpo returned from injury by taking a place on the substitutes bench at the weekend and could return to the starting XI this time out, but Leeds will be without Stuart Dallas (leg) and Adam Forshaw (ankle).

Leeds United predicted lineup vs Leicester

Leicester vs Leeds score prediction

Winless in five and having not beaten Leicester since the empty stadiums era of early 2021, not many would fancy Leeds to walk away with all three points.

But with the home side missing James Maddison, the chances of Jesse Marsch's side scooping all three points are greatly increased. They have been good in patches - and outright awful in others - and there's enough firepower at Leeds' disposal if they can join up the dots in attack.

Leicester look a little shaky at the back, despite an improved showing against Crystal Palace on Saturday, and Maddison's absence, combined with Jamie Vardy's reduced role in the team, could lead to further problems for Rodgers - and a defeat that would heighten talk of an imminent exit.

Prediction: Leicester 1-2 Leeds
