Liverpool's best and worst players in win over Brentford

Liverpool secured their sixth win on the spin with a 1-0 victory against Brentford on Saturday evening.
Mohamed Salah scored his 100th goal at Anfield to see off the challenge of a dangerous Bees side.
Bryan Mbeumo had an equaliser chalked off for offside while Ivan Toney put in a top performance for the visitors, who were always within striking distance of the Reds.
Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo missed glorious opportunities in either half to put the game to bed, but Jurgen Klopp's men held on to secure the win regardless and are now only a point behind Manchester United in the Premier League table having played two games more.

Liverpool's best player vs Brentford
Mohamed Salah: 8/10
The man of the moment and the main reason why Liverpool's Champions League hopes are not fully extinguished just yet, Salah popped up with another vital goal for the Reds on Saturday.
The Egyptian king was on hand to bundle the ball in after Virgil van Dijk headed it back across the face of goal from Fabinho's lofted ball.
With that strike, Salah became the first player in Liverpool history to score in nine successive games at Anfield. Blimey.
Honourable mention
Trent Alexander-Arnold: 7/10
Once again the Premier League's darling after finding joy in an inverted role, Alexander-Arnold was at his effortless and borderline arrogant best at times on Saturday.
There is a grace about the game when he is in possession of the ball. The same can't be said when he's having to head back the other way, but that wasn't too often against Brentford.

Liverpool's worst player vs Brentford
Darwin Nunez: 5/10
Look, I think I speak for everyone when I say even the most neutral of fans loves the chaos of Darwin 'Darwizzy' Nunez. But at some point he's got to cut out the sitters and add a touch of ruthlessness to his game.
He fluffed his lines in the first half after being played in by Alexander-Arnold and failed to really get at a stubborn Brentford backline for much of the afternoon.
Klopp excited onlookers when naming all four of his fearsome forwards in the same starting lineup but they hardly looked like the Red Arrows here.
Dishonourable mention
Ibrahima Konate: 6/10
For the most part, Liverpool were fine today. Brentford weren't exactly a million miles away from taking a point, but it was comfortable enough an evening for the Reds.
Konate, however, endeavoured to make his side's life a little trickier, flying into challenges with little control of his body and being fortunate not to be punished for some rash tackles. For a man who was sat down by a player half his size Bryan Mbeumo in the reverse fixture, you'd think he'd have learnt some lessons.
