Liverpool are aiming to set up a second trip to Wembley this season when they face Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday.

The Reds have already lifted the Carabao Cup in the capital this season and will book a place in the FA Cup semi-final if they overcome Man Utd at Old Trafford. Jurgen Klopp's side are in amazing form, which cannot be said of their opponents this weekend.

However, Klopp still has a whole host of injuries to contend with ahead of the trip to Manchester, and the 56-year-old will have some selection headaches this Sunday in what is a gargantuan match-up.

Here are the Liverpool players out injured for the journey to Old Trafford.

Goalkeepers & defenders

Liverpool have a few defensive injury concerns ahead of Sunday, with first-choice goalkeeper Alisson still missing. The Brazilian is set to be missing until April at the earliest, but fortunately Caoimhin Kelleher has been impressive in his absence.

Ibrahima Konate suffered a minor injury during Liverpool's 5-1 win over Sparta Prague in their Europa League last 16 first leg, with Klopp having said that the Frenchman had a "good chance" of returning for Man Utd. However, the Reds boss confirmed on Friday that the centre-back is yet to train and is unlikely to feature against Erik ten Hag's side.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is still sidelined after suffering a recurrence of his previous knee injury at the beginning of February. On Friday, Klopp suggested that he has a chance of being available for the first week of April.

Unfortunately for Joel Matip, his season is almost certainly over after tearing his ACL in December. With his contract expiring in the summer, the defender may have played his final game in Liverpool red.

The good news for Liverpool is that Ryan Gravenberch will be fit for the clash with Man Utd, with the Dutchman returning to action for the first time since the Carabao Cup final. Klopp also confirmed that Bobby Clark, who picked up a slight knock against Sparta last Thursday, is also available.

However, Liverpool still have a few injury concerns in midfield, including Curtis Jones. Klopp has hinted that the local lad could return for the clash with Brighton immediately after the March international break, but his high ankle sprain will keep him out on Sunday.

Thiago may not leave the treatment room for the rest of the season having played all of ten minutes for the Reds, while his compatriot Stefan Bajcetic is also still sidelined. However, Klopp revealed the latter is expected to return to team training after the international break.

Liverpool boast a fairly clean bill of health up top, although the Reds are without Diogo Jota. The Portuguese suffered a knee injury against Brentford on 17 February and has been out of action since, with Klopp suggesting that he could be available in early April.

The other absentee up front is young winger Ben Doak, who has been sidelined since knee surgery in December. The timeframe for his return is unknown, with the Scot potentially missing the rest of the campaign.
