Liverpool's next six games after Chelsea draw
Liverpool's exit from the Champions League means it's just the Premier League here on out until the end of the 2022/23 season.
It's been a forgettable campaign for the Reds after they came ever so close to completing the quadruple last term. Failures on the recruitment front have left Jurgen Klopp with a faltering engine room, and they're no longer the pressing juggernaut they were once revered to be.
In truth, a multitude of factors have played a role in the Reds' demise, and their inconsistency renders a top-four berth unlikely. But, they've still got a chance, and there's plenty to play for during the final stretch of the season.
Here's what Liverpool's schedule looks like after their midweek draw against Chelsea.
Liverpool vs Arsenal (09/04/23 - 16:30) - Premier League
One of the defining fixtures in Arsenal's run towards the Premier League title is their trip to Anfield. Win on Merseyside and the Gunners will be well on there way.
However, despite Liverpool's woes, triumphing on their home patch is no easy feat. Leeds are the only away side to win at Anfield in the Premier League this season, and Arsenal haven't done so since 2012.
Leeds Utd vs Liverpool (17/04/23 - 20:00) - Premier League
Victory at Anfield was probably the highlight of Leeds' campaign thus far. It's been a tough season for the Yorkshire outfit, who have slid into the relegation zone.
Javi Gracia has turned them into a more pragmatic and less chaotic outfit without the ball, but his start to life as Leeds boss has been pretty mixed.
Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest (22/04/23 - 15:00) - Premier League
God, imagine if Liverpool don't win here.
While Nottingham Forest are fighting for their lives, their away record has been nothing short of dire. Steve Cooper's side have claimed just six points and scored four goals on the road this term. They're utterly reliant on the City Ground as a means of remaining in the division.
West Ham vs Liverpool (26/04/23 - 19:45) - Premier League
Liverpool were beaten by the Hammers at the London Stadium last season - the first of just two Premier League defeats they suffered throughout the entirety of 2021/22.
Oh, how times have changed!
West Ham earned some much-needed respite at the weekend as they scraped past Southampton in a relegation six-pointer. Many expect David Moyes' side to be okay when it's all said and done, but their ventures in Europe could complicate matters.
Liverpool vs Tottenham (30/04/23 - 16:30) - Premier League
We cannot let this woeful Tottenham side finish in the top-four. That would be nothing short of criminal.
Spurs recently drew with Everton on their last trip to Merseyside and they'll be looking to win at Anfield for the first time since 2011 when these two sides meet in what could be a crucial battle in the context of the top-four race at the end of April.
Liverpool vs Fulham (03/04/23 - 20:00) - Premier League
Klopp's side open up May with a midweek clash against overachievers Fulham. The Cottagers began their impressive season with a 2-2 draw against Liverpool on the opening day; a contest that foreshadowed how the respective campaigns for the two sides would play out.
Fulham's form has taken a slide in recent weeks, but they were victorious on their most recent visit to Anfield in 2021.
