Liverpool can go top of the Premier League table with a win over Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield in Gameweek 30, but injuries continue to hamper Jurgen Klopp's side.

The Reds are looking to bounce back from their FA Cup defeat at the hands of Manchester United prior to the international break but Brighton have been something of a bogey team for Liverpool, with Klopp's side only winning one of the last five meetings.

They are boosted by the news that Darwin Nunez is expected to be fit enough to start in the attack, but plenty of other important players are suffering from injuries.

Here is the Liverpool team that Klopp may choose to face Brighton.

GK: Caoimhin Kelleher - The Irishman will be aware that Alisson is not too far away from returning from injury so he has not got long left to impress any potential buyers for the summer, or a new coach to replace Klopp.

RB: Conor Bradley - Conor Bradley is having a great season for Liverpool and he scored an excellent goal for Northern Ireland during the international break. He is also keen to impress before Trent Alexander-Arnold returns, which could be in time to face Man Utd.

CB: Virgil van Dijk - He was recently tipped for the Ballon d'Or by Cesc Fabregas, who said: "I'm going to say something that I think no one ever thought about or ever said publicly, potentially, Virgil van Dijk could deserve the Ballon d'Or."

CB: Ibrahima Konate - He did miss a training session this week but Klopp confirmed that this was just an extra rest day, meaning the Frenchman should be fit enough to start against Brighton.

LB: Joe Gomez - With Andy Robertson picking up another injury during Scotland duty, Joe Gomez is expected to get another go at left-back. He is playing his way into England's Euro 2024 squad with some impressive performances in various positions.

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai - The Hungarian had a very successful international break as he scored twice for his national team and was very impressive in both matches. He is getting closer to his pre-injury level which could be crucial for the run-in.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister - He grabbed a goal against Costa Rica and is emerging as a very important player for the Argentina national team. This spot in the Liverpool team is up for grabs and he is best placed to make it his for a very long time.

CM: Ryan Gravenberch - The Dutch midfielder still has a lot to prove after a tough first season but should get an opportunity to start here, where there could be a huge amount of space to run into.

RW: Mohamed Salah - He is actually on track for a better season than last when it comes to scoring and assisting, and he is the only player to register over 30 goals and 30 assists across the past three Premier League seasons.

ST: Darwin Nunez - He picked up an injury that stopped him from linking up with the Uruguay squad, but Klopp confirmed that he is fit enough to play against Brighton which is a big boost considering Diogo Jota is already out.

LW: Luis Diaz - His dad's comments about moving to a Spanish club in the future were far from helpful and it doesn't seem he will be at Liverpool forever, but he is one of their most consistent performers and will be crucial on Sunday.
