Liverpool predicted lineup vs Burnley - Premier League
By Max Parsons
Liverpool will look for a sixth consecutive victory in all competitions on Sunday as they travel to Burnley in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp's men sit second in the table having won their previous three league fixtures against Brentford, Crystal Palace and Leicester. A comfortable 2-0 victory over Brendan Rodgers' side in midweek was the Reds' 15th victory in their 23 Premier League games so far this campaign, while they've also thus far avoided defeat in 2022.
So, all we can say is good luck to a Burnley side who sit rock bottom of the table. Here's how Klopp could set out his Liverpool side.
Liverpool predicted lineup vs Burnley
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Alisson (GK) - With three clean sheets in his last four appearances, the Brazilian is a certainty to feature between the sticks.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB) - Enjoying a formidable campaign, as his four assists in his previous four outings will attest to.
Joel Matip (CB) - Only Covid-19 has stopped him from starting in any of Liverpool's last 10 Premier League outings, so he should feature here.
Virgil van Dijk (CB) - Easy to predict who will be starting as the left-sided central defender for Liverpool - big Virg, of course.
Andy Robertson (LB) - In splendid form at the moment, the marauding Scotsman will undoubtedly start on the left of defence once more.
2. Midfielders
Fabinho (DM) - Was perfectly dominant as the anchor in midweek, and will probably make it very difficult for Burnley to counter at the weekend.
Harvey Elliott (CM) - Ahead of the Champions League clash with Inter next week, Klopp may opt to rest some of his men, potentially paving the way for Elliott's first start since returning from injury - especially following a couple of great cameos in recent weeks.
Jordan Henderson (CM) - Could be restored to the starting XI, provided there are no further setbacks with his back issue.
3. Forwards
Mohamed Salah (RW) - Came off the bench to make his first appearance for the Reds since his African Cup of Nations heartbreak against Leicester, and should be reinstated to the first XI this weekend.
Diogo Jota (ST) - In sparkling form this term, now looking for his 13th Premier League strike of the season.
Sadio Mane (LW) - Should be fit to return to domestic action following AFCON glory.
