Liverpool predicted lineup vs Sheffield United - Premier League
- Liverpool visit the manager-less Sheffield United on Wednesday night
- Reds overcame Fulham in dramatic fashion on Sunday
- Joel Matip a fresh injury concern ahead of midweek clash
Liverpool supporters rocked up to Anfield on Sunday expecting a procession, not a thrilling 4-3 victory.
The Reds' struggles when defending their box as well as Alisson's absence gave Fulham more than a sniff and the Cottagers took a 3-2 lead with only ten minutes remaining.
However, a scintillating late show meant the hosts snatched victory from the jaws of defeat to further embolden their status as title challengers.
Jurgen Klopp will be hoping for greater serenity in midweek as they travel to the manager-less Sheffield United, who are reeling from a 5-0 defeat at Burnley. Here's the starting lineup the German could pick at Bramall Lane on Wednesday night.
Liverpool predicted lineup vs Sheffield United (4-3-3)
GK: Caoimhín Kelleher - It wasn't Kelleher's finest hour against Fulham, but he'll get another chance between the posts with Alisson still out injured.
RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold - There might not be a more in-form player in the Premier League than Alexander-Arnold right now. The auxiliary right-back was Liverpool's hero once again at the weekend.
CB: Ibrahima Konate - Joel Matip succumbed to an injury on Sunday and Konate will almost certainly come into the starting lineup.
CB: Virgil van Dijk - The Dutchman wouldn't have been thrilled with his side's defensive showing last time out, but Van Dijk should enjoy a quieter outing at Bramall Lane.
LB: Kostas Tsimikas - While Klopp could rotate here, Liverpool's dynamics in possession are hindered if Joe Gomez plays at left-back.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister - The Argentine delivered a Steven Gerrard-esque moment against Fulham, although it was almost lost amid a stunning home victory.
CM: Dominik Szoboszlai - The Hungarian dynamo has already reached undroppable status in Liverpool's midfield.
CM: Curtis Jones - The final midfield spot is still up for grabs and Klopp will likely bring Jones back in on Wednesday after Ryan Gravenberch got the call at the weekend.
RW: Mohamed Salah - It wasn't Salah's day in front of goal against Fulham, but he nonetheless teed up Wataru Endo for the equaliser. He'll be looking to feast at Bramall Lane.
ST: Cody Gakpo - Gakpo had an impact off the bench as the Reds staged a dramatic turnaround, so he deserves to return to the lineup with Darwin Nunez failing to score after the November break.
LW: Luis Diaz - With Diogo Jota absent, Diaz, who's already missed plenty of action this season, is set for a lengthy run in the side.
