Atlanta United forward Luiz Araujo has been fined by Major League Soccer's disciplinary committee for his actions in the 3-3 draw with Chicago Fire.

Araujo is making headlines once again. Last week, it was revealed that Araujo would return to his home country to play for one of the biggest clubs in Brazil, Flamengo.

This week, he has been fined for not leaving the field in an orderly fashion after being shown a second yellow card in the 71st minute against the Fire. Araujo didn't agree with the decision that the referee made.

The disciplinary committee has issued an undisclosed fine to Araujo as he wraps up his playing time with the Five Stripes. His 24 goal contributions in 61 games has not been enough for the current designated player as he has not lived up to his expensive price tag.

The Five Stripes, who currently sit fourth in the Eastern Conference with 22 points, have had a frustrating and strange season. They've scored the most goals in the MLS with 28 but have shipped the second-most goals with 24.

Atlanta United will hope that their designated players will get into fine form before the upcoming summer transfer window. The summer beckons for a shakeup within the team which may include star Thiago Almada.
