Chelsea could take a giant step towards qualification for the Champions League knockout stages by beating Malmo in one of Tuesday's early kick offs.

The Blues romped to a 4-0 win over the Swedish side on Matchday 3 and since then they have also put Norwich City and Newcastle to the sword in the Premier League.

Malmo, meanwhile, are unbeaten since that defeat and currently top the Allsvenskan as they enter the business end of their domestic season. Things have been less good in Europe though, with the Blue Ones yet to register a point in Group H.

Malmo have two experienced operators out in Ola Toivonen and Jonas Knudsen - the latter of whom has a wicked long throw.

In better news, former Ajax defender Niklas Moisander should be back after missing the return fixture through injury. Keep an eye out for ex-Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City man Martin Olsson too.

Chelsea team news

Thomas Tuchel has confirmed Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Mateo Kovacic will all miss the game due to injury, while Mason Mount will be sitting out due to an illness.

However, Christian Pulisic is in contention, though it is probably too early for him to start the game.

Malmo vs Chelsea predicted lineups

Malmo: Dahlin; Moisander, Ahmedhodzic, Brorsson; Larsson, Rakip, Innocent, Christiansen, Olsson; Birmancevic, Colak

Chelsea: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Chalobah; James, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek, Alonso; Hudson-Odoi, Ziyech; Havertz

Malmo vs Chelsea head-to-head record

Chelsea had faced Malmo twice prior to their meeting on Matchday 3. Those games were the two legs of the pair's 2018/19 Europa League round of 16 tie which the Blues breezed through comfortably.

Goals from Olivier Giroud and Ross Barkley - who may feature on Tuesday - gave them a 2-1 win in Sweden, while they secured an easy 3-0 victory in the return game. Giroud and Barkley scored again in that match, with Callum Hudson-Odoi adding a third late in the second half.

Malmo vs Chelsea score prediction

Malmo have never come close to beating Chelsea in their three previous meetings and we have no reason to believe that things will be any different this time around.

The Blues' wealth of attacking options means that even with so many players on the sidelines, they can still field a frontline that their opponents can only dream off.

Expect to see Tuchel's side ease to another straightforward win in Sweden.

Prediction: Malmo 0-3 Chelsea
