Manchester City have one foot in the Champions League semi-finals and will seek to finish the job when they travel to Germany to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

An emphatic 3-0 win at the Etihad in the first leg has all but finished the job for City, but Pep Guardiola will be well aware that Bayern are one of a select few clubs on the planet who can feasibly turn this tie around, so he will demand standards remain high.

Here's how he could set up.

Man City predicted lineup vs Bayern Munich (3-2-4-1)

GK: Ederson - A solid performance in the first leg will give Ederson confidence heading into this one.

CB: Manuel Akanji - Few in the City squad will know more about Bayern than former Dortmund man Akanji, whose experience at the back could be key to this one.

CB: Ruben Dias - This new formation appears to have brought the best out of Dias once again.

CB: Nathan Ake - A sensational breakout season from Ake has seen the Dutchman turn into one of Guardiola's most dependable players.

DM: Rodri - Guardiola gave Rodri a decent rest at the weekend to preserve him for this fixture.

DM: John Stones - Stones was impressive before his injury but this transition to a pseudo-midfield role has played to his strengths as well.

RM: Bernardo Silva - Silva and Riyad Mahrez appear to be taking turns in this role, with the former currently in favour.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan - Not even risked at the weekend, Gundogan should be fresh here.

CM: Kevin De Bruyne - De Bruyne racked up three goals and two assists in five games against Bayern during his Bundesliga games and is now looking to open his Champions League account against the Bavarians.

LM: Jack Grealish - Few players in Europe are feeling themselves right now quite like Grealish. He's been sensational.

ST: Erling Haaland - Haaland was hooked at half-time against Leicester after scoring twice in the first 45 minutes, leaving him tied with Mohamed Salah for the Premier League's 38-game season scoring record.
