Manchester City face one of the club's favourite opponents on Saturday afternoon when Bournemouth make the trip to the Etihad Stadium.

Across all 17 prior meetings, City haven't lost a single game to Bournemouth, winning 15 - including all 11 in the Premier League era. The last time the Cherries avoided defeat against City was in February 1999.

Here's the lineup Pep Guardiola may deploy to extend the club's unbeaten run in this fixture.

Erling Haaland

GK: Ederson - The only time Ederson hasn't faced a single shot (on target or otherwise) in a Premier League match was against Bournemouth in March 2019.

RB: Kyle Walker - Playing as an outrageously inverted fullback against West Ham last weekend, Walker had more touches in the centre circle (nine), than two of his side's nominal central midfielders - Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan - put together (three).

CB: Ruben Dias - Picked up the nickname "The Bodyguard" during his time at Benfica but didn't offer much protection when his goalkeeper got a black eye within minutes of the new season last weekend.

CB: Nathan Ake - Bournemouth made a £20m profit when they sold Ake to City two years ago after the Dutch defender racked up triple digits for appearances and double digits for goals.

LB: Joao Cancelo - His teammate Erling Haaland may lead the early scoring charts with a brace but Cancelo tops the stat that really counts with an unrivalled two nutmegs from the opening weekend.

CM: Kevin De Bruyne - The Belgian succinctly summarised City's opening day victory when he took to Instagram to write: "Premier League, welcome to Erling Haaland."

CM: Rodri - During his first year of regular first-team football, Rodri lived in the University of Castellon's halls of residence. With a degree in business administration since acquired, he hasn't had to bunk up at Manchester Met.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan - On his Premier League debut six years ago, Gundogan got off to a goalscoring start against Bournemouth.

RW: Riyad Mahrez - 24 goals across all competitions last term was the most of any City player and the highest seasonal tally in Mahrez's career.

ST: Erling Haaland - City's goal-greedy new arrival wasn't even born the last time Bournemouth avoided defeat to the Sky Blues.

LW: Phil Foden - Up against what may be a back-five, Guardiola often opts to play Foden on his natural left wing, stretching the opposition's low-block rearguard laterally.
