Manchester City's quest to overhaul Arsenal at the top of the Premier League continues with a trip to Southampton on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's men can close the gap on the Gunners to five points ahead of their nightmare trip to Liverpool on Sunday.

But they have a UEFA Champions League date with Bayern Munich looming, so there's your FPL warning, folks.

Here's how Man City could set out against the Saints.

Man City predicted lineup vs Southampton

GK: Ederson - Currently behind four goalkeepers - Nick Pope, David De Gea, Aaron Ramsdale and Alisson - in the race for the Golden Glove.

RB: Rico Lewis - With Bayern on the horizon, this would be the perfect opportunity for John Stones and Kyle Walker to get some rest.

CB: Manuel Akanji - The human calculator has impressed following his summer move from Borussia Dortmund.

CB: Ruben Dias - Won back his place in the side after a spell occupying the bench.

LB: Nathan Ake - An outside contender for the PFA Team of the Year following one of his best ever seasons.

DM: Rodri - A little fortunate to have avoided a red card against Liverpool last week for two cynical fouls in the space of two minutes.

CM: Bernardo Silva - Guardiola has previously spoken of the need to manage Kevin De Bruyne's minutes, so this seems like an opportune time for Bernardo Silva to come back into the side.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan - Man City fans will be hoping and praying he extends his stay at the Etihad Stadium rather than leave for Barcelona on a free transfer.

RW: Riyad Mahrez - Has scored a Man City career-low of five Premier League goals this season, which feels like a fake stat given his superb form.

CF: Erling Haaland - Missed the Liverpool win with a groin problem but should come back into the lineup having returned to training.

LW: Jack Grealish - It looks like Jack Grealish is the nation's sweetheart once again. The England international has been liberated at club level of late.
