Manchester City will be without Alanna Kennedy, who is sidelined with a fractured shoulder. Fellow centre back Ruby Mace is also unavailable, although manager Gareth Taylor admitted she is at least getting 'closer' to a return to action.

Deadline day arrival Yui Hasegawa did not go away with Japan during the international break due to injury, but Taylor confirmed the new signing is 'in a good position' to be available for Sunday's match and potentially make her City debut.

Leicester team news

Leicester continue to be without forward Jess Sigsworth, who remains a long term absentee after rupturing her ACL in February. Hannah Cain, Lachante Paul and Georgia Brougham are also still out.

But there are no new injuries and manager Lydia Bedford is hopeful of being able to include Abbie McManus and goalkeeper Demi Lambourne in the squad.

Man City vs Leicester predicted lineups

Man City (4-3-3): Roebuck; Morgan, Houghton, Greenwood, Ouahabi; Aleixandri, Coombs, Castellanos; Kelly, Shaw, Coombs.

Leicester (5-3-2): Levell; Simon, Howard, Tierney, Plumptre, Purfield; Pike, Green, Whelan; Jones, O'Brien.

Man City vs Leicester score prediction

Leicester have been narrowly beaten in each of their opening three WSL matches - and only lost to Everton in their most recent outing because of a last gasp goalkeeping error.

Manchester City, having been caught cold by Aston Villa in gameweek one, are also yet to pick up a point this season, but were unfortunate to concede on the stroke of half time during their defeat to Chelsea last time out after going toe to toe with the WSL champions in the opening 45 minutes.

Manchester City will be expected to get their first three points of the season under their belts, but Leicester will at least ensure it is a tight affair.

Prediction: Man City 2-0 Leicester
