Man City vs Man Utd - Women's Super League: Preview, predictions and lineups
- Man City face Man Utd in the WSL at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday
- Cityzens are currently tied with Chelsea at the top the table
- Red Devils have struggled to keep pace with the top three this season
Manchester City will be looking to take another step forward in their Women's Super League title charge on Saturday lunchtime when they host local rivals Manchester United.
Gareth Taylor's side have already beaten the Red Devils twice this term and can make it a much-needed hat-trick at the Etihad Stadium this weekend as they search for an 11th straight WSL - the first game of that run came in their November victory at Old Trafford. And with Chelsea, ahead of them at the top of the table on goal difference only, not in action this weekend until Sunday when they face West Ham, the Cityzens can put the pressure on Emma Hayes' reigning champions.
Meanwhile, Man Utd are still just about in the race for Champions League qualification this season after Arsenal dropped points last time out, currently trail the third-placed Gunners by six points. Marc Skinner's side have scored six goals without conceding in their last two games across the WSL and FA Cup but will have to be at their absolute best to get a positive result in the blue half of Manchester.
Here is 90min's guide to the upcoming Manchester derby.

Man City vs Man Utd score prediction
There is no doubting who the clear favourites are for this one, with Skinner's inconsistent Man Utd now 12 points off Man City as they prepare to travell to the Etihad. Khadija Shaw is in phenomenal form as well for the weekend's hosts and leads the WSL in goal contributions this season (16G, 3A), while Lauren Hemp has also been superb again this term.
It looks like an uphill battle for Man Utd, who drew 1-1 at the Etihad in the WSL last season but have lost four of their last five trips to Man City and crumbled against Arsenal at the Emirates last month.
