Man Utd's best and worst players in late 1-0 defeat to Brighton
Manchester United couldn't hold out for a point at Brighton on Thursday night, conceding late on to an Alexis Mac Allister penalty.
The likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial brought saves out of Seagulls stopper Jason Steele but the visitors didn't capitalise on the chances they created and were made to pay late on when referee Andre Marriner penalised (with a nudge from VAR) Luke Shaw for handball.
Mac Allister sent De Gea the wrong way from the spot, moving Brighton into the dizzying heights of sixth - but still eight points behind United.

Marcus Rashford: 7/10
It was an odd performance from Rashford.
On another day he might have helped himself to a hat-trick, with United creating some good opportunities for the England international. However, like most of his teammates, he couldn't capitalise.
He was still brilliant with the ball at his feet, completing five dribbles on the left as Anthony Martial ineffectually played up front.
This result may send a few nerves up the spine of United fans, but if Rashford combines his dribbling with some new shooting boots, they should confirm that top four spot in the next few games.
Honourable mention
Casemiro: 7/10
On another day, Casemiro would have fallen off the disciplinary tightrope he was walking after being booked in the first half.
Somehow, however, he kept making fouls and getting away with it, keeping Brighton at bay long enough for United's defensive numbers to get back.
The Brazilian did get booked but also completed seven tackles, four more than any other player.

Fred: 4/10
Boy, when Fred gets things wrong, he really gets them wrong.
The Brazil midfielder lacked the guile of compatriot Casemiro in defensive moments and lacked any sort of composure on the ball, at one point shinning the ball hilariously into the crowd.
He's definitely no Christian Eriksen in midfield. United missed the Dane's creativity and calmness on the ball, instead getting an anxious and erratic presence in the middle of the park.
To his credit, he did manage to stop Antony from getting himself sent off in the second half.

Dishonourable mention
Antony: 5/10
This was a game United needed much more from Antony, especially on the balance of chances created; this was United's game to lose and missed chances from the likes of Antony didn't help.
He set the ball rolling by shooting well wide with the game's first big chance but by late in the second half was getting involved in skirmishes off the ball rather than being great in possession.
The loss wasn't Antony's fault solely but the attitude and application on show wasn't impressive.
