Man Utd fixtures: Next six games after Burnley win
- United have a favourable run of fixtures over the next month
- The Red Devils take to the field in the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup
- Clashes with Brentford, Crystal Palace and Galatasaray are on the horizon
Manchester United may not have enjoyed a vintage start to the 2023/24 campaign, but their fortunes could be about to change over the next few weeks.
It's been a tough start to Erik ten Hag's second season in charge at Old Trafford, with performances and results some way below the standard set last year. Pressure is already mounting on the Dutchman, but a victory over Burnley on Saturday will have eased the pressure and a favourable upcoming run of fixtures could keep things trending in the right direction.
United will compete in the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup over the next month and the Red Devils will be favourites each time they step foot over that white line.
Here is a detailed look at United's next six fixtures.
Man Utd vs Crystal Palace - Carabao Cup
It may have only been the Carabao Cup, but United celebrated winning their first trophy in six years with justifiable vigour last season. Now it's time for their title defence to begin when Crystal Palace arrive at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.
Whether Ten Hag feels confident enough to rotate his lineup to give some of his key players a rest against the Eagles remains to be seen, but he won't want his side to make a limp exit in the third round.

Man Utd vs Crystal Palace - Premier League
United have the opportunity to do a quick-fire double over Palace when they face them in the Premier League just four days after their Carabao Cup clash - or the chance to save some face depending on Tuesday's result.
The Red Devils don't have a faultless recent record against the Eagles having won two, drawn two and lost two of their last six competitive meetings. United did win this fixture 2-1 last season despite a Casemiro red card thanks to goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.

Man Utd vs Galatasaray - Champions League
United's 4-3 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich was a difficult game to truly dissect. There were certainly some positives for Erik ten Hag to take from his Bavarian return, but his side ultimately left the Allianz Arena pointless having delivered another underwhelming performance.
A reaction against Galatasaray is essential. The Turkish side are the team most likely to compete with United and Bayern for qualification, but they only managed a 2-2 home draw with Copenhagen in matchday one of the Champions League.
There will be plenty of familiar foes for United with former Premier League names such as Davinson Sanchez, Hakim Ziyech and Wilfried Zaha - a former Red Devil - all now wearing the orange and red of Galatasaray.
- 03/10/23 - Man Utd vs Galatasaray (20:00)
Man Utd vs Brentford - Premier League
It was the second game of Ten Hag's reign when Brentford put four unanswered goals past United before half-time last season. While it actually served as a turning point for the Red Devils, they will not want to suffer a repeat result this time round in what will be a fourth successive home game in all competitions.
The Red Devils did manage to win last season's home encounter 1-0 courtesy of a Rashford winner, adding to the two victories they picked up against Brentford back in the 2021/22 season. However, Thomas Frank's side are always good for an upset, and they will fancy their chances heading to Old Trafford.

Sheffield United vs Man Utd - Premier League
It will be a first meeting between these two sides since 2021, with Sheffield United actually winning the last encounter 2-1 at Old Trafford. However, the Red Devils' last trip to Bramall Lane was a successful one as they came from a goal down to beat the Blades 3-2.
Paul Heckingbottom's side could still be searching for a first win by the time United arrive in Yorkshire, with a difficult run of games on the horizon. Ten Hag will hope to take advantage of any confidence crisis at Bramall Lane.

Man Utd vs Copenhagen - Champions League
Born and bred in Copenhagen, Rasmus Hojlund made 32 appearances for United's Champions League group stage opponents having come through their academy. Having netted his first United goal against Bayern on matchday one, the Dane will be hopeful of punishing his former club when they arrive at Old Trafford.
Regardless of what happens against Galatasaray in matchday two, United should be in for a comfortable victory against Copenhagen. No matter how impressive the Danish side were in Turkey, the Red Devils' superior quality and experience should make this fixture fairly straightforward.
