Twitter reacts as Man Utd slump to another disappointing defeat against Leicester

Oh dear, Manchester United. It appears to have happened again.
The pressure ramped up on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Saturday after his side slumped to a 4-2 defeat against Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
Their display was chaotic, loose and disappointing - which has been the flavour(s) of the month in Manchester for some time.

Before the game had even kicked off we were already treated to a bit of drama when Harry Maguire was named in the United starting lineup - despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer all but ruling him out ahead of his Leicester return.
Social media could not believe it, and it was hard not to feel sympathy for the spurned Eric Bailly...
There was an equally important return for Leicester too, with Jonny Evans coming back into the fold following a back injury and an illness.

Harry Maguire hasn't even had a proper training session and he's supposedly fit enough to start yet Pogba and Ronaldo needed to be benched because they played against Villarreal ?
— Mike (@MikeLUHG_18_0) October 16, 2021
Hope this helps
Maguire straight in to the team after one day's training. Shaw played the last game after no training. I really hope this Ole tactic of chucking players in that aren't ready works today

Harry Maguire is arguably our most important player. pic.twitter.com/Od6Dq0BHsc

?️ — Solskjær on Jonny Evans:
— United Journal (@theutdjournal) October 16, 2021
“He’ll be fit for our game, of course he will. You want to play against Man. United, every player in the league wants to play against Man United. He’s had such a great career, Jonny, and he's a player I admire.” #mufc #mujournal

Jonny Evans is fit to face his former club Manchester United at King Power Stadium. He takes his place in a back three with Soyuncu and Amartey. Castagne and Pereira are the wing-backs with Soumare, Tielemans and Maddison in midfield, behind Iheanacho and Vardy. #LCFC
— Rob Tanner (@RobTannerLCFC) October 16, 2021
Leicester started the game strongly, causing United's patched-together backline plenty of problems.
However, it would be the visitors who took the lead against the run of play, thanks to a ridiculous strike from Mason Greenwood.
Picking the ball up on the right-hand side, he burst inside and unleashed an unstoppable strike from outside the box that hit the post on its way in.
What. A. Hit.
Maddison is serious now. None of that flashy bag. We back! pic.twitter.com/7noqRD6Bj5
— ° (@LcfcLeejon) October 16, 2021
#mufc midfield already loose. Matic has already made a tactical foul and Pogba has twice lost the ball to spark counter-attacks. Iheanacho just skinned him and Maguire for a good opening. That's brought Solskjaer out into the technical area.
— Samuel Luckhurst (@samuelluckhurst) October 16, 2021
This is a lively start from #LCFC and Maddison has looked a threat, along with Iheanacho. City are able to get at this back 4 so far.
— Rob Tanner (@RobTannerLCFC) October 16, 2021
That's a superb goal.
— Jason Bourne ??? (@JasonBourne1986) October 16, 2021
Damn...
Mason Greenwood is something else. A goal of rare execution and confidence, to beat one of the world's best keepers from 20 yards, having roasted one of the league's best left wing backs.
— Jonathan Northcroft (@JNorthcroft) October 16, 2021
What a goal from Greenwood. Cut in off the right, left foot and cannoned in off the far post. Great hit. Fantastic bit of skill.
— Rob Dawson (@RobDawsonESPN) October 16, 2021
My scorching take before the start of the season was that by the end of it we would consider Greenwood as Man Utd’s best wide forward instead of Rashford/Sancho but I was too scared to say it pic.twitter.com/vPNNjtNje3
— Sean Walsh (@SeanDZWalsh) October 16, 2021
That was thunder and lightning from Mason Greenwood.
— Melissa Reddy (@MelissaReddy_) October 16, 2021
The confidence, the execution, the cannoning in off the far post
Where the tf is Greenwood learning his selfish play from? Is he mad?
— Fosty (@KwasiNawil) October 16, 2021
On the half hour mark we then got a lovely dose of narrative when a horrific Maguire mistake allowed Youri Tielemans to deservedly draw Leicester level - in audacious fashion.
It was an incredible strike, not that the United captain will want reminding about it anytime soon...

The second half was a bitty affair, but things started to heat up as we approached full time.
First, Tielemans went agonisingly close to a second goal, as his thundering effort was tipped onto the post by David de Gea.
Then Cristiano Ronaldo seemingly spurned a golden opportunity, only for the offside flag to spare his blushes.
Eventually Leicester did poke their noses in front when Caglar Soyuncu got lucky in the box and tapped home from a yard out.

Atm Leicester's formation (5 at back when defending) is stifling Man United very well; Amartey confident, Soyuncu improved with Evans' presence
— Foxes of Leicester (@FoxesofLCFC) October 16, 2021
Soyuncu, 2-1 Leicester. Leicester deserve their lead. United weirdly, infuriatingly casual at times.

What seemed like seconds later - it was actually four minutes hence - there was another flashpoint.
Marcus Rashford had only been on the pitch for a few moments before he lifted the ball over Kasper Schmeichel to draw United level.
Not a bad way to make your comeback.
What a shame Jamie Vardy has to spoil it by restoring Leicester's advantage a few (actual) seconds after...
54 - There were only 54 seconds between Marcus Rashford equalising for Manchester United and Jamie Vardy making it 3-2 to Leicester. Party.

What a weird minute: Rashford scores and United hurry back to the halfway line full of urgency and intent, and then - seconds later - allow Leicester to trundle a simple move through them, offering no energy at all in response. It’s kind of mesmerising to watch.

After the dust had settled, an all too familiar hashtag resurfaced, with many United fans not happy with another stodgy display.
Will this be the death knell for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer? Almost certainly not. However, this was a really worrying display from United, who have now won one of their last five games in all competitions.
Solskjaer needs to concentrate on his football.
— Tom Williams (@tomwfootball) October 16, 2021
I'm reminded of the famous Vladimir Putin quote. "Whoever does not want Ole Solskjaer to win bare pots has no heart. Whoever believes he can has no brain."
— Geronimooms (@Danny_McMoomins) October 16, 2021
Well, that might have been about the Soviet Union but I think it fits.
Manchester United with Ole Gunnar Solskjær are like Chelsea with Frank Lampard. A top squad with a manager not even close to being up to it. Chelsea showed what is possible when you get in a genuine quality manager
