Manchester United are potentially just 90 minutes away from knocking Barcelona out of the Europa League if they can build on a 2-2 draw at Camp Nou last week.

Erik ten Hag's side hold no advantage in the playoff tie in terms of the aggregate score-line, but they were level pegging with Europe's most in-form team on their own patch and now have the added backing of a home crowd at Old Trafford to help push them to victory.

These kind of performances were unimaginable 12 months ago, with Ten Hag performing miracles in his first season in charge.

Here's a look at the starting XI he could pick to get the job done.

On this edition of The Promised Land, part of the 90min podcast network, Scott Saunders & Rob Blanchette preview Man Utd's Europa League clash with Barcelona, the role Jadon Sancho could have to play, his recent form & more.

Man Utd predicted lineup vs Barcelona

GK: David de Gea - Equalled Peter Schmeichel's club record of 180 clean sheets against Leicester. His next shutout will break it, although that will be a tough ask here.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka - Has been sharing duties with Diogo Dalot in recent weeks and it was the Portuguese who got the nod at the weekend.

CB: Raphael Varane - The Frenchman been rested for the last two Premier League games, which shows just how important he is for this clash.

CB: Lisandro Martinez - Suspended for the first leg but available to return now. His welcome presence could be just the boost United need to win the tie.

LB: Luke Shaw - Expected to be back on the left after putting in another impressive shift in the centre of defence at Camp Nou a week ago.

CM: Casemiro - Missed out at the weekend as a result of serving the last game of a domestic ban but eligible to return here.

CM: Fred - Could keep Marcel Sabitzer out of the side, even though the Austrian is available after sitting out the first leg through suspension.

RM: Bruno Fernandes - Ten Hag played around with his attacking playes at Camp Nou and his captain's delivery from space on the right could be key.

AM: Wout Weghorst - Did a lot of the dirty work in the first leg and playing deeper allowed him to press Barcelona's midfield, disrupting things and creating space for his teammates.

LM: Jadon Sancho - Scored off the bench in the Premier League again against Leicester and could return to the lineup on Thursday after also starting at Camp Nou.

ST: Marcus Rashford - On current form, there might not be a better player in the world right now. Involved in both United goals in the first leg and netted two more in the Premier League on Sunday.
