Man Utd predicted lineup vs Bournemouth - Premier League
Manchester United's 2023 will kick off with a match against Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
They ended 2022 in style, winning their final five matches of the year, and will be aiming to carry that form into the second half of the season.
If they can continue their run of fine form against Bournemouth, they could move up to third in the Premier League with Newcastle facing Arsenal away from home.
Here are the 11 players that may be assigned the task of moving the club a step closer to Champions League qualification by Erik ten Hag.
Man Utd predicted lineup vs Bournemouth (4-2-3-1)
GK: David de Gea - De Gea played well last time out against Wolves, making a few excellent saves to keep his second clean sheet in a two.
RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka - Wan-Bissaka has been better than most people expected since returning to the starting XI in Diogo Dalot's absence, so ten Hag doesn't need to risk rushing the Portuguese player back.
CB: Raphael Varane - Varane isn't showing any signs of fatigue after reaching the World Cup final with France and then immediately returning to club duties.
CB: Lisandro Martinez - Martinez was given extra time off following Argentina's World Cup triumph but has probably done enough celebrating now in ten Hag's eyes and can get back to business.
LB: Luke Shaw - Shaw has impressed at centre-back in Martinez's absence and should remain in the starting XI even with the Argentine returning.
CM: Casemiro - After picking up one against Wolves, Casemiro now has three yellow cards to his name in the Premier League this season and needs to ensure he doesn't get two more in the next three games if he wants to avoid a one-match suspension.
CM: Christian Eriksen - Until Man Utd finally sign Frenkie de Jong or an alternative, the spot next to Casemiro is firmly in Eriksen's hands.
RW: Antony - Antony missed a number of huge chances against Wolves and will be aiming to make amends against Bournemouth, adding to the three goals he already has for his new club.
AM: Bruno Fernandes - Fernandes got an assist in a league game for the first time since the start of September against Wolves.
LW: Marcus Rashford - After being dropped for being late to a meeting, Rashford came off the bench against Wolves to show just important he is, scoring the winning goal.
ST: Anthony Martial - Martial had just one shot in the last match and needs to do better if he wants to convince his club to make him their first-choice striker moving forward.
