Manchester United will try to get back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday when they host Everton at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils had burst into some excellent form to begin 2024, but league defeats against Fulham and Manchester City have left them with what looks like too much to do in regard to a top-four finish. The gap to Aston Villa ahead of this weekend is a huge 11 points.

Man Utd have continued to be ravaged by injuries and they are going to be without the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and more here. Rasmus Hojlund might be fit enough to make the bench, but he is not expected to start the game.

Here is the team that Erik ten Hag may choose for Man Utd vs Everton.

GK: Andre Onana - It is fair to say that the scoreline against Man City could have been a lot worse without Andre Onana. The Cameroonian is ending the season strongly and looks more like his Inter self.

RB: Diogo Dalot - Easily one of Man Utd's best performers this season, Diogo Dalot seems to take defeats very much to heart and he will be desperate to make amends against Everton this weekend.

CB: Raphael Varane - The Frenchman is playing consistently now and he was very impressive for the first half against Man City while Man Utd were defending a lead. It seemed inevitable, though, that Pep Guardiola's side would find the way through.

CB: Victor Lindelof - Jonny Evans was also impressive against Man City but he had to go off with a knock. He should be fit enough for the bench, but Victor Lindelof is likely to take his place. Harry Maguire is a contender as he should be back to full fitness.

LB: Sofyan Amrabat - His mistake for Erling Haaland's goal at the Etihad was very poor, and his time at Man Utd will surely come to an end in the summer, but they need him to play at left-back with so many other full-backs out injured. Oh how Man Utd miss Sergio Reguilon now.

CM: Casemiro - The Brazilian spoke in the wake of the derby about how Man Utd need to 'mirror' Man City if they are to get back on top. He is a leader in this team, even he does not quite look like the player he was last season.

CM: Kobbie Mainoo - There are some things that even Man Utd can't get wrong, and they are now starting the process of offering Kobbie Mainoo a new contract. The midfielder is a key player now and a genuine contender to play at Euro 2024.

RW: Antony - This may be the final game where there is a gap in Man Utd's favoured attacking quartet, so Ten Hag is expected to give Antony yet another chance to show why he should have a future at Old Trafford.

AM: Bruno Fernandes - Having played through the pain against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, Bruno Fernandes kept up his record of never missing a Man Utd game through injury. He has four goals and three assists against Everton in 10 games.

LW: Alejandro Garnacho - He will be looking forward to this after the overhead kick in the Goodison Park meeting. There might be a pitch invasion at Old Trafford if he was able to pull off a strike like that again.

ST: Marcus Rashford - His goal against Man City was truly wonderful, but it wasn't in keeping with the rest of his season. It is up to Marcus Rashford to decide whether that goal is a turning point or another false dawn.
