Manchester United have released a statement regarding Antony following claims that he assaulted his ex-girlfriend.
Gabriela Cavallin has alleged that she was head-butted and punched by the winger at a hotel in Manchester back in January. She also claimed to being attacked in a series of events dating back to 2022.
Brazilian outlet UOL published photographs relevant to Cavallin's testimony as part of an interview with her earlier this week.
GMP revealed to the Daily Telegraph on Monday that they were conducting enquiries into the alleged incidents in England, while Sao Paulo Civil Police have opened an investigation after Cavallin filed a report against Antony accusing him of 'domestic violence, threat and bodily injury'.
Man Utd have now released a statement following calls to suspend Antony from first-team action, but insisted they will not be making further comments at this stage.
"Manchester United acknowledges the allegations made against Antony and notes that the Police are conducting enquiries," the statement read.
"Pending further information, the club will be making no further comments.
"As a club, we are taking this matter seriously, with consideration of the impact of these allegations and subsequent reporting will have on survivors of abuse."
