Manchester United have announced that veteran defender Jonny Evans has signed a contract with the club for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
Evans came through the Red Devils' academy ranks and made his senior debut in September 2007. He would make 198 appearances and win 11 honours before leaving the club for West Bromwich Albion in 2015.
He then joined Leicester City in 2018 and helped the Foxes win their first FA Cup in 2021, but left the King Power Stadium following their relegation to the Championship at the end of last season.
Evans returned to Man Utd for pre-season this summer to maintain his fitness levels and work with the club's reserve and youth teams, but he has now extended his stay back at Old Trafford for the rest of the campaign.
