Manchester United are looking like a much, more confident side than they did one week ago following back-to-back victories in the Premier League and the Carabao Cup.

In what is actually a fairly common quirk of the fixture list, Man Utd will try and build their run of form by facing the same team as they did in the cup on Tuesday night, Crystal Palace. This Premier League game is also at Old Trafford and Man United would happily settle for another 3-0 win.

Palace gave a very poor account of themselves in that game, allowing a rotated Man Utd side to stroll into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. Their fans will be hoping that there is a lot more to come at the weekend.

Erik ten Hag was able to welcome a number of players back to the starting 11 against Crystal Palace on Tuesday like Sofyan Amrabat, Mason Mount and Raphael Varane. All three will start on Saturday.

Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund all come back into the starting XI, with only Hojlund seeing any minutes on Tuesday. A number of players remain out of action such as Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay make the bench but there is no space for Sergio Reguilon or long-term absentee Lisandro Martinez.

There were plenty of injuries for Roy Hodgson to think about going into the Carabao Cup game, with Michael Olise, Matheus Franca, Jefferson Lerma, James Tomkins and Naouirou Ahamada all missing out on that clash with injuries.

Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze both come back into the starting lineup after being benched in the cup.

Man Utd vs Crystal Palace score prediction

This should be a very different game to Tuesday night as the Premier League is always taken more seriously and Palace do have better players to bring into their starting XI. The issue is that Man Utd do as well.

With Rashford, Hojlund and Fernandes set to come back, and players like Casemiro and Amrabat taking a lot of confidence from midweek, it will be a big surprise if the Red Devils don't pick up another win on home turf.

Prediction: Manchester United 3-1 Crystal Palace
