Man Utd team news

Red Devils boss Ten Hag will give an update on winger Antony on Friday, with the Brazilian at risk of missing out on the final after going off on a stretcher in the first half of the 4-1 win over Chelsea.

If the Brazilian is out, there will likely be a start for one of Alejandro Garnacho or Wout Weghorst due to the absences in attack.

The perennially injured Anthony Martial has been ruled out of the contest with a hamstring problem, while Marcel Sabitzer looks to have played his last game for United due to a knee complaint. The likes of Lisandro Martinez and Donny van de Beek are also absent.

Pep Guardiola unsurprisingly rang the changes for City's final league game of the season at Brentford, which they lost 1-0 due to a late Ethan Pinnock strike.

Expect players like Erling Haaland, Ruben Dias, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish among others to come back into the side having missed that defeat last time out.

Everton, Reading, West Ham and Fulham were all dispatched before the Red Devils were held to a goalless draw by Brighton in the semi finals at Wembley. A 7-6 triumph on penalties ensured United would face City in the final.

Man City were handed ties against two London giants in the early rounds. They tore Chelsea apart 4-0 before seeing off title rivals Arsenal, with both games taking place at the Etihad.

Championship opposition in Bristol City and Burnley were seen off, the latter of which involved a homecoming for Vincent Kompany which saw the club legend leave with a 6-0 defeat. Sheffield United awaited at Wembley but Riyad Mahrez's hat trick saw City comfortably into the final.

Man Utd vs Man City score prediction

Both sides are looking to end respective FA Cup droughts - City were last victorious in 2019 while United lifted the trophy previously in 2016.

City's 6-3 win over United in October showed they can eviscerate United if given the opportunity, though the Red Devils showed their own quality when they came from behind to beat the league champions 2-1 in January.

United have proven in recent years they have the quality and timing to disrupt City and come out on top, but it's Guardiola's side who remain favourites to take the second step towards their treble.

Prediction: Man Utd 1-2 Man City
