Manchester derby: When do Man Utd and Man City play each other in 2023/24?
All of the trophies on offer in England during the 2022/23 campaign were dolled out to the Premier League's two Manchester clubs. Yet, one half of the city will forever remember the season while the other desperately tries to forget it.
Not only did Manchester City match United's feat of a European treble, but they beat the League Cup winners in the FA Cup final to secure the second leg of that historic achievement.
Four days before Manchester United became the first English club to ever win the top-flight title, FA Cup and Champions League in the same season in 1999, City had narrowly earned promotion from the third tier.
With the balance of power well and truly shifted across the subsequent two decades, here's when the two northern giants face off in the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Premier League dates for Man Utd v Man City in 2023/24
Date | Time | Fixture |

28/10/2023 | 15:00 | Man Utd v Man City |
02/03/2024 | 15:00 | Man City v Man Utd |
While Manchester City are involved in the first fixture of the 2023/24 campaign, Manchester United are the last team - alongside Wolverhampton Wanderers - to begin the new season.
United are pencilled in to host the first Manchester derby of the 2023/24 campaign on Saturday 28 October 2023 while City welcome the Red Devils to the Etihad on Saturday 2 March 2024.
Both clubs finished inside last season's top three but endured desperately underwhelming records on the road against elite opposition. Between them, City and United could muster just one win away from home against the sides that finished inside the Premier League's top nine.
United collected just one point in these tricky away postings, conceding a dismal 28 goals in eight games - six of which were scored by City.

After a glance at his famous watch on his way out of the press conference, Sir Alex Ferguson delivered a cutting answer to the question of whether City would ever go into a Manchester derby as favourites: "Not in my lifetime."
A decade and a half on from that jibe, City enter almost every match as favourites. A run of four wins from the last five Manchester derbies underscores their deservedly lofty status.
However, Erik ten Hag did steer Manchester United to victory in his first home derby at the helm - thanks in no small part to a hotly controversial equaliser from Bruno Fernandes.
City may have since beaten United at Wembley and matched their treble triumph, but Ten Hag has the chance to become the club's first manager since Ferguson to record consecutive Premier League victories over the Sky Blues.
