Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella has admitted confidence is growing among the squad after the Blues' comfortable 4-1 victory over Burnley.
Having won three consecutive games in all competitions, Chelsea appear to have steadied the ship after a rocky start under Mauricio Pochettino, whose side depart for the international break 11th in the table and just six points adrift of the top four.
Central to Chelsea's current winning streak has been Cucurella, who appeared surplus to requirements before reinventing himself as a right-back. The Spaniard, a left-back by trade, has played every minute of each of the team's three wins.
"It's a very good win for us because we were confident and scored a lot of goals," Cucurella told club media after the victory over Burnley. "In other games, maybe we lose confidence [after going behind], but we followed the game plan, kept building, and kept fighting. The confidence in the team is better after two wins in a row.
"We believe in ourselves and the plan and we have a really important three points."
Cucurella is not the only player to notice a difference in the dressing room, with Pochettino himself highlighting a positive change.
Asked for his plans for the international break, Pochettino said: "We're going to spend the two weeks working at the training ground. To improve players, try and recover those who are injured. We are pushing hard to be better. The mood is different."
The true test of Chelsea's resurgence will come after October's international interval, when a visit from Arsenal will kick off a tough run of fixtures.
Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Newcastle United are all on the schedule for November, with Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United coming early in December.
