Marco Reus is apparently considering a move to Major League Soccer at the end of the season, former footballer Samir Nasri revealed on Canal+.

According to Nasri, a potential MLS move is on the cards and there have already been talks. No specific clubs were named. Reus and Dortmund still have two Bundesliga matches left against Mainz and Darmstadt, and the Champions League final at Wembley Stadium.

Borussia Dortmund announced May 3 that the club and Reus mutually decided to not renew his contract at the end of the season. "I’m incredibly grateful for and proud of this special time at my club Borussia Dortmund. I have spent more than half of my life at this club and enjoyed every day, even though there have of course been difficult moments too. I already know now that I will find it difficult to say goodbye at the end of the season," Reus said.

Dortmund advanced to the Champions League final on Tuesday upsetting Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 on aggregate. The Bundesliga club last made the CL final in 2013 losing out 2-1 to Bayern Munich. It was the first time in the competition's history that the final was contested by two German teams. Another Der Klassiker in the final is on the cards with Bayern Munich level on aggregate with Real Madrid.

Lifting the trophy would be the ultimate ending for Reus and his time at Dortmund.

Of course, fans would be excited to see Reus join up with Lionel Messi and Inter Miami. We'll have to wait for more information regarding any potential suitors. Former Bundesliga players Emil Forsberg and Hannes Wolf both transferred to MLS in the last six months with New York Red Bulls and NYCFC respectively.

Reus would not only follow in their footsteps, but also Olivier Giroud who is expected to join LAFC after the conclusion of the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament.
