Milan hopeful of beating Dortmund & Tottenham to Daichi Kamada free transfer
AC Milan believe they are closing in on a deal to sign Daichi Kamada on a free transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt, 90min understands.
The Japan international's deal is up at the end of the season and it has long been known he would be moving on to pastures new this summer.
He was expected to sign for Borussia Dortmund after holding extensive talks over a move across Germany, but an agreement was never reached and that deal is on the brink of collapse, with RB Leipzig's Dani Olmo a primary target for BVB now instead.
Sources have told 90min that while Benfica and Napoli have held talks with Kamada's camp, Milan are pushing hard to strike a deal and believe they are not far away from an agreement.
Tottenham Hotspur have also long been fans of Kamada and had representatives at Frankfurt's 3-0 win at home to Mainz on Saturday.

Evan Ndicka was also being monitored, but as 90min has reported, he is expected to sign for AS Roma on a free transfer.
Kamada featured for Frankfurt against Spurs in the Champions League group stages this season, scoring the opening goal in an eventual 3-2 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In 44 games for Frankfurt in 2022/23, Kamada has scored 15 goals and laid on six assists, flitting between advanced and deep-lying midfield roles.
