Milan Transfers: 4 Centre Forwards I Rossoneri Should Target in the Summer Window

AC Milan are finding goals hard to come by this season. So hard in fact, that in January they had to call on a 38-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Only three teams in the whole of Serie A have scored less than Milan this season, which for a club who's ambitions are set firmly on being amongst the best in the world, is far from good enough.

To make matters even worse, their top scorer with a meagre six goals is Ante Rebic is only on loan, and their highest goalscorer who is actually contracted to them is Theo Hernandez. Yep, the left back. With five. How?

If Milan are to truly compete once more, they will need to find themselves a marksman who can keep up with the best across the continent. Krzysztof Piątek found out this season just how heavy the weight of expectation is at I Rossoneri, and with Zlatan unlikely to renew his contract for another year, a new face up front will be a top priority at San Siro.

Who that will be is up for debate, and the lack of Champions League football will surely impact on the targets they can attract. Never fear though, we at 90min have compiled a comprehensive list of forwards that would still relish a move to Milan.

Andrea Belotti

This one should be fairly obvious but, for some reason, a top Italian club has never seemed interested in taking Belotti from Torino. He's currently in his fifth season with Il Toro and has scored 85 goals in 179 games for the club, which is nearly a goal every two outings, a thousand miles better than anything Milan have currently.

Belotti is consistently at the top of the Serie A scoring charts, and is one of the most complete forwards operating today. He has the vision and playmaking ability to drop deep and hold up the ball to create opportunities, as well as being able to score any type of goal imaginable.

Potential Price: £30m - £40m

Moise Kean

Moise Kean shocked everyone when, after an impressive breakout season with Juventus, he joined Everton for £25m in the summer of 2019. Things have not worked out on Merseyside for the young Italian however, and a move back to Italy could well be on the cards.

Kean has struggled for form since his arrival, only managing one Premier League goal as well as a string of disciplinary issues, including breaking lockdown regulations, may seal his fate. That being said, Kean still has a lot of potential, and is extremely versitile so Everton may not want to lose the youngster permanently.

The drop in form, the ill discipline and the economic issues of the Coronavirus pandemic would mean Everton can't command the full amount they paid for him last summer. Even so, a loan move may be the best for all involved, with an option to buy if he pushes Milan back into the upper reaches of the table.

Potential Price: £20m - £25m

Luka Jovic

If a loan move is more to Milan's taste, then a look at another young striker who's endured a difficult debut season may be a better option. Luka Jovic has never really got going since his £54m transfer from Frankfurt to Real Madrid, and a year away from the Spainsh capital may be what he needs.

Jovic has undoubted talent and, despite only managing two goals in La Liga this season, knows where the back of the net is.

It's unlikely Madrid would let him leave permanently, and if they did, Milan would surely not meet their asking price, so a loan would be the likely solution here. Jovic is having a nightmare at Real, but remember when they voted Modric their worst ever signing? There's always a second chance.

Potential Price: £40m - £50m

Myron Boadu

Milan would probably rather own whichever striker they go for, and if he's young and inexpensive, that's an added bonus. As 90min recently reported, Myron Boadu would fit the bill.

At 19 years of age, Boadu has already established himself as AZ Alkmaar's star man with 14 goals and eight assists this season, earning his first cap for the Netherlands in November.

While buying from the Eredivisie always comes with its risks, Boadu has all the attributes to become a top player. There is potential interest from Arsenal and Newcastle, but if he could become the main man at the San Siro - the sky really would be the limit for this young talent.
