The two occupants of San Siro will meet twice over the next week for a place in the final having slightly overcome the odds to meet on this collision course.
Milan dumped runaway Serie A winners Napoli out with a comprehensive quarter-final victory, while Inter got the better of Portuguese giants Benfica.

The good news for Milan is they only have one injury worry.
The bad news it concerns their best player, Rafael Leao. He was hauled off during their win at home to Lazio at the weekend with a groin problem and is yet to return to training. If he is to play a part in this tie, it will have to be in the second leg.

This really could be a tie that goes the distance - there has been very little to separate Milan and Inter over the last three years of their respective resurgences.
The Rossoneri have had arguably the tougher route to this stage having eliminated Tottenham and Napoli to this point, while the Nerazzurri squeaked past a pair of Portuguese sides in Porto and Benfica.
There are only two points between them in Serie A and the key aspect of the first leg could be the absence of Leao - Inter are in better form and should have enough not to lose to a Milan side without their best attacker.
