Manchester United's home kit for next season might have just been leaked on social media. Again.

adidas have been United's kit provider since 2015, when the German sports company took over from Nike. Most of the strips in that time have been relatively safe, sticking with the block red, black and white colours that have become synonymous with England's most successful club side since they first donned those colours in 1902.

Chevrolet will remain on the front of the shirt, as they have since they first replaced AON in 2014, although their deal does run out at the end of next season – and United have been shopping around for a replacement in the meantime.

'Busby Babes Norge,' a Norwegian Manchester United supporters page on Facebook, posted new pictures of the purported 2020/21 kit online on Friday.

The red design returns to the white collar and adidas stripes after a few years adopting black in those areas. But the real talking point is the yellow and black vertical rectangles which cover the main body of the top.

Fan reaction to the new design has been – to put it diplomatically – mixed, with a number of supporters taking to Twitter to air their views.

One fan responded to the recent transfer links between United and Jadon Sancho, admitting: "If I was Sancho I wouldn't wanna be unveiled in a kit like that."

Another supporter bluntly declared it 'our worst home kit ever', while another criticised the material used for the sleeves – saying simply: "The 4th picture looks like a wafer."
