Newcastle predicted lineup vs Leicester - Premier League
By Tom Gott
Newcastle need just one point to secure their place in next season's Champions League when Leicester come to town on Monday.
The Foxes are battling for survival at the bottom of the table but this new, ruthless Newcastle side will have no concerns about ramping up the pressure on their opponents if it hands them the European football they have so richly deserved this season.
Here's how Eddie Howe could set up for this one.
Newcastle predicted lineup vs Leicester (4-3-3)
GK: Nick Pope - The Golden Glove has slipped away from Pope but that should not detract from an excellent season.
RB: Kieran Trippier - The Premier League Player of the Season nominee has enjoyed an excellent campaign at St James'.
CB: Fabian Schar - A contender for a Most Improved Player award that does not exist, Schar has played a huge part in Newcastle's success this season.
CB: Sven Botman - Newcastle worked tirelessly to convince Botman to move to Tyneside, and you can't argue with the results.
LB: Dan Burn - John Cena's best mate is under pressure to prove himself in the starting lineup following significant rumours of interest in Arsenal's Kieran Tierney.
DM: Bruno Guimaraes - A surprise exclusion from the Player of the Season shortlist, Guimaraes has been sensational at the base of midfield.
CM: Joelinton - A knock has given Joelinton an uncomfortable few days but he's expected to be passed fit.
CM: Elliot Anderson - 20-year-old Anderson may be needed from the start after Joe Willock joined Sean Longstaff on the sidelines.
RW: Miguel Almiron - The red-hot scoring touch may have disappeared but Almiron can still be proud of his exceptional season.
ST: Callum Wilson - Ivan Toney's suspension opens the door for Wilson to climb even higher in the Premier League scoring charts.
LW: Alexander Isak - He's not a winger, but Isak is good enough to make this sort of role work.
