Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Confirms Eric Bailly Could Be Out for Up to 4 Weeks Through Injury

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Eric Bailly will be out for up to four weeks due to a muscle injury, meaning the defender could be unavailable until after the next international break.
The 26-year-old - who started the humiliating 6-1 defeat to Tottenham prior to the last international break - was named as a substitute for the win at Newcastle on Saturday. However, he didn't travel with the squad to Paris for the Champions League tussle with PSG on Tuesday.

After United's hugely impressive 2-1 win in Paris, Solskjaer confirmed to reporters (as relayed by Man Utd's official website) that the central defender will likely be out for up to four weeks due to a muscle injury. This is the same injury that prevented him from taking part in the win over PSG on Tuesday.
As a result, Bailly will not be able to play any part in the Red Devils' brutal run of fixtures. Solskjaer's men next host Chelsea, RB Leipzig and Arsenal, before then travelling to face İstanbul Başakşehir and Everton.
However, the Ivorian could be available for selection for the home game against West Bromwich Albion on 21 November, should his recovery go smoothly.
It's once again the same old story with Bailly, who has simply been unable to consistently maintain fitness in order to hold down a starting spot since his move to Old Trafford back in the summer of 2016. His latest injury will come as a blow not only to him, but also for Solskjaer as his defensive options remain limited at this current moment in time.
Captain Harry Maguire was also unavailable for the trip to take on PSG due to an injury, but United's official website state that the England international could return against Chelsea.
With both Bailly and Maguire missing on Tuesday, Solskjaer opted to select a back three which included Axel Tuanzebe, who made his first appearance since December, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw. They produced an excellent defensive display to keep PSG's lethal attack quiet throughout the contest, with Tuanzebe particularly impressive.
While Maguire could yet feature against Chelsea on Saturday, Solskjaer will be without Bailly until after the next international break.
