Paul Pogba signs Amazon deal to make film of his life called 'The Pogmentary'

Football documentaries have become commonplace on streaming services of late and while a little bit of us hates the fact modern-day players have become more like celebrities than athletes, they make for bloody good television.
If your idea of entertainment isn't Sunderland co-owner Charlie Methven stood in the middle of an empty Stadium of Light, wagging his fingers in the air to Tiesto's ‘Adagio for Strings’ and screaming at some poor lad to make it 'more Ibiza', well then, there's frankly no hope for you.
For any of you completely bemused by what we're on about, give Sunderland 'Til I Die a try on Netflix, it's basically The Office - but real.
Anyway, football documentaries are here to stay and it's been announced that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has signed a deal with Amazon Studios and a documentary about his life called The Pogmentary will be released in 2022.
The Pogmentary? Really? Not even The Pogumenatry? That was 100% rubber-stamped by three blokes sat outside a pub on 12 April.
Shocking title aside, it should actually be a pretty decent watch, because let's be honest he may be exasperating at times but he's always entertaining.
The World Cup winner will work with production company Black Dynamite to make the documentary, offering a glimpse into the life of one of the world's most iconic footballers.
The logline as already been revealed by entertainment news outlet Deadline Hollywood and it reads:
“Prime members will discover his world through previously unreleased footage from his childhood and conversations with his family, friends and teammates."
"His fans will also learn more about his life, passions and accomplishments, looking at what were the key moments on his journey to become one of the most influential football players and icons in the world.”
Head of European originals at Amazon Studios Georgia Brown revealed they'll be offered unprecedented access into the life of the United star and he'll be afforded the opportunity to tell the world his story.
“We all know Paul for what he can do on a football pitch, but his influence reaches much further and he is without doubt an icon for an entire generation," she said.
"Through the unprecedented access afforded to us, Prime Video will show the man behind the fame, delving into his life off the pitch and letting him tell his story in his own words.”
