Each month, you can vote for your favourite players across five divisions of English football, for the chance to win incredible prizes, including the opportunity to present the award to the winning player.

Your League One nominees for October are...


1. Michael Smith (Rotherham)

Michael Smith was one of the form players in League One in October as Rotherham got their promotion push back on track.

The Millers were undefeated ,winning four of five games, and Smith played a huge part with five goals and two assists. That included two goals and an assist for the Newcastle fan against Sunderland.


2. Harry Pell (Accrington)

Former Colchester, Charlton and Wimbledon midfielder Harry Pell is enjoying the form of his life.

Pell helped himself to four goals and two assists in October and that included a crucial goal on his return to The Valley, as Stanley grabbed all three points.


3. James McClean (Wigan)

The Irish international is showing some phenomenal form for promotion chasing Wigan and he was brilliant in October.

WIgan won four games in the month, and McClean contributed in each victory with either a goal or an assist - including a brace in the victory at Bolton.


4. Matty Taylor (Oxford)

Oxford United enjoyed a very good October with four wins and Matty Taylor was integral to their success.

Locally-born Taylor finished the month particularly well as he scored in the wins over Burton and Morecambe, helping his side remain in the mix for a play-off spot.


5. Ryan Tafazolli (Wycombe)

Wycombe were superb in October with four wins and two draws pushing them right back into automatic promotion contention.

Ryan Tafazolli played a huge part at both ends of the pitch, helping Wycombe keep three clean sheets while helping himself to three goals - including a crucial brace in the win over Crewe.


6. Conor Grant (Plymouth)

Conor Grant has taken to his new role of left wing-back with great aplomb and he brilliant throughout October.

Plymouth were undefeated throughout the month as they rose to the top of the table, and Grant more than played his part with goals in the wins over Burton, Bolton and Ipswich.
