PFA Vertu Motors Championship Fans' Player of the Month - January nominees

90min is the home of the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the 2022/23 season.

Each month, you can vote for your favourite players across five divisions of English football, for the chance to win incredible prizes, including the opportunity to present the award to the winning player.

Your Championship nominees for January are...

1. Antoine Semenyo (Bristol City)

A great month for Antoine Semenyo and it was a nice farewell for his time with Bristol City.

He scored in the games with Coventry, Blackburn and Birmingham and also claimed an assist in the latter.

His superb form saw him join Premier League side Bournemouth towards the end of the transfer window.

2. Ian Maatsen (Burnley)

Clean sheets: 1

A perfect month for Championship leaders Burnley and Ian Maatsen was a key performer.

The on-loan Chelsea wing-back scored both goals in the 2-1 victory at Swansea and also helped them claim a crucial clean sheet in the 1-0 win against Coventry.

3. Kasey Palmer (Coventry City)

A big month from Coventry midfielder Kasey Palmer with three goals in total with two in the Championship.

Palmer scored in the FA Cup early in the month before hitting the back of the net in the loss to Norwich.

He then scored a crucial goal in the 2-0 win over Huddersfield.

4. Chuba Akpom (Middlesbrough)

Another month and another nomination for the Championship's top-scorer - Middlesbrough's Chuba Akpom.

Akpom opened the month with a striker in the 3-1 win against Birmingham and also opened the scoring in the 2-0 victory against promotion rivals Watford.

He also helped himself to a goal in the FA Cup win loss to Brighton.

5. Teemu Pukki (Norwich City)

A new manager at Norwich and Teemu Pukki has responded - two goals and two assists over two games showed he is back to his best.

David Wagner's first game in charge was at Preston and Pukki impressed his new boss with two goals and assist in the 4-0 win.

The Finnish forward followed that up with an assist in the 4-2 success at Coventry.

6. Elijah Adebayo (Luton Town)

An amazing month for Elijah Adebayo as he scored in five successive games including three in the Championship.

He scored in the 3-2 loss to West Brom, and then bagged in the 2-0 win over Wigan.

He finished the month on January 31st with the only goal in the 1-0 win over Cardiff.
