PFA Vertu Motors League One Fans' Player of the Month - September nominees

90min is the home of the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the 2022/23 season.
Each month, you can vote for your favourite players across five divisions of English football, for the chance to win incredible prizes, including the opportunity to present the award to the winning player.
Your League One nominees for September are...
1. Devante Cole (Barnsley)
Appearances: 4
Goals: 3
Assists: 1
Davante Cole helped Barnsley to an outstanding September with 10 points from 12.
He began the month with a goal in the brilliant 2-0 derby win over Sheffield Wednesday and followed that up with a strike in the success at Cambridge.
He then grabbed a goal and assist in the 3-1 victory over Charlton at Oakwell.
2. Jevani Brown (Exeter City)
Appearances: 4
Goals: 3
Assists: 2
Jevani Brown has proven a key figure in Exeter establishing themselves in League One.
He performed again in September, starting with a key assist in the 1-0 win over MK Dons.
He finished the month in even better fashion as he claimed a wonderful hat-trick and assist in the 4-0 triumph at Forest Green Rovers.
3. Conor Chaplin (Ipswich Town)
Appearances: 4
Goals: 3
The only player with back-to-back nominations on this list, Ipswich's Conor Chaplin enjoyed another good month.
He began September in fine style with both goals in the 2-0 win at Accrington Stanley.
That was followed by a goal in the win at Bristol Rovers.
4. Morgan Whittaker (Plymouth Argyle)

Assists: 1
Plymouth's on-loan star Morgan Whittaker enjoyed a brilliant September, and helped contribute to a goal in every game.
He scored against all of Derby, Oxford and Ipswich. There was also an assist in the 2-2 draw with fellow promotion-chasers Portsmouth.
5. Ellis Harrison (Port Vale)

Goals: 3
Ellis Harrison had a good opening month to the season but an even better September with three goals to his name.
He scored a crucial late equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Barnsley. He followed that up with both goals in Vale's 2-1 win over Shrewsbury.
6. Anis Mehmeti (Wycombe Wanderers)
Appearances: 4
Goals: 2
Assists: 1
The Albania Under-21 international has been a huge figure for Wycombe all season and that continued in September.
He scored a crucial goal in the 1-1 draw at Fleetwood and followed that with a goal in the loss at Derby and one further assist.
