90min is the home of the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the 2022/23 season.

Each month, you can vote for your favourite players across five divisions of English football, for the chance to win incredible prizes, including the opportunity to present the award to the winning player.

Your WSL nominees for October are...

Appearances: 3
Clean sheets: 3

Manchester United goalkeeper Mary Earps kept three more clean sheets in October that underpinned her team's rise to the top of the table.

Crucially, Earps hasn't actually just been a spectator in those games. Each time against Brighton, Leicester and Everton, she has made at least one top save and still no one has beaten her in a WSL game so far this season.

2. Pernille Harder (Chelsea)

Appearances: 3
Goals: 3
Assists: 1

Pernille Harder missed the start of the season because of injury but marked her return to action with two goals straight off the bat against Everton.

The Dane later came off the bench to seal a 2-0 win against Brighton, Chelsea's perennial bogey side. After also scoring a Champions League hat-trick, she provided an assist last time out against Aston Villa.

3. Lauren Hemp (Man City)

Appearances: 3
Goals: 2
Assists: 2

Manchester City are winning again to put a forgettable September behind them and Lauren Hemp's input throughout October is a huge reason why.

The winger's consistent goal contributions have been underpinned three consecutive wins across the month, with a goal against Tottenham, assist against Liverpool, and goal and assist against Leicester.

4. Frida Maanum (Arsenal)

Appearances: 3
Goals: 2
Assists: 0

Frida Maanum has managed to bench Arsenal superstar Vivianne Miedema during October and that is no mean feat at all.

The Norwegian has helped the Gunners continue their perfect winning start by providing huge energy in midfield. She hasn't looked back since a thrashing of Lyon in Europe and has even scored two WSL goals.

5. Nikita Parris (Man Utd)

Appearances: 3
Goals: 2
Assists: 0

Nikita Parris used three consecutive WSL starts in October to prove her doubters wrong following a less than stellar 2021/22 season at Arsenal.

Parris was signed by Manchester United to give depth and, with Alessia Russo ruled out, she rose to the challenge with crucial goals in successive away wins. Her movement was also excellent at home against Brighton.

6. Khadija Shaw (Man City)

Appearances: 3
Goals: 5
Assists: 0

Manchester City's Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw scored at least once in every game she played in October, driving her team on to victory every time.

Shaw has emerged from the shadows of the now retired Ellen White, showing a clinical edge with braces against both Leicester and Tottenham, before a fifth of the month came in victory over Liverpool.
