Premier League confirm schedule changes for opening 2023/24 fixtures
- The Premier League season gets underway on August 11th
- Newly promoted Burnley welcome Manchester City to Turf Moor to get things underway
- Fixture dates and kick off times have been altered for TV and European commitments
The Premier League have confirmed a number of changes to the early weeks of the 2023/24 fixture schedule.
Burnley's clash with Manchester City remains the opening game of the new season, with the changes made affecting weeks two to seven.
They have been made to accommodate television scheduling and provide greater balance for those competing in European competition - particularly those competing in the Europa League or Conference League on a Thursday night.
