Premier League fixtures to be rearranged for FA Cup quarter finals
Premier League games will be rearranged to accommodate the quarter finals of the 2022/23 FA Cup in March.
The football schedule has been packed in recent weeks and more matches will come thick and fast over the coming weeks as teams try to fulfil commitments.
Here's why some Premier League games will need to be moved.
When are the 2022/23 FA Cup quarter finals?
The FA Cup quarter finals are due to be played on the weekend of 18 March 2023. Brighton, Blackburn, Fulham and Manchester City have booked their spots in the next round already, while Tottenham, Manchester United and others will hope to join them by winning on Wednesday night.
As both FA Cup and Premier League games are scheduled to take place on the same weekend, top flight games will have to be rescheduled. That is already the case with Brighton vs Man Utd, Liverpool v Fulham and Manchester City v West Ham, all of which will need new dates.

The league game between Southampton and Tottenham at St Mary's will be pushed back if one or both of those teams win their fifth round game.
However, even if games are rescheduled, the weekend of 18 March 2023 will still have at least six Premier League matches on offer.
There will be further postponements down the road when the semi finals come around, too. The following games are all at risk in Gameweek 32, which is scheduled for the weekend of 22 April.
