By Euan Burns
Premier League action is back after the September international break and there are some really interesting games scheduled to take place across Saturday.
The day's early match sees Wolves host Liverpool but perhaps the most intriguing game is perhaps at Old Trafford where Manchester United host Brighton. However, there is plenty more to be excited about beyond those two fixtures.
Here is all you need to know about the seven matches taking place in the Premier League this Saturday.
Premier League fixtures today - Saturday 16 September
Wolves vs Liverpool
- Location: Wolverhampton, England
- Stadium: Molineux Stadium
- Date: Saturday 16 September
- Kick-off Time: 12:30 BST / 07:30 ET / 04:30 PT
- Referee: Michael Oliver
- VAR: Paul Tierney
After three consecutive victories, Liverpool are starting to look more like the real deal despite a summer in which many fans were very unhappy about their transfer business.
Wolves have not enjoyed the best start to the season either but the early kick-off does odd things to big teams away from home. Expect the Wanderers to dig in from the start, with Liverpool's counter-attacking threat as frightening as ever right now.
There is not a huge amount to be gained by Wolves being 'brave' here, even in front of their own fans. They will almost certainly get picked off straight away by the likes of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and more.

Fulham vs Luton
- Location: London, England
- Stadium: Craven Cottage
- Date: Saturday 16 September
- Kick-off Time: 15:00 BST / 10:00 ET / 07:00 PT
- Referee: Michael Salisbury
- VAR: Robert Jones
Perhaps not a headline grabber, but this may be a game Luton marked on their calendar as a big chance to get their first three points on the board.
While they have done better than Luton, Fulham have not enjoyed a good summer and their start to the season has been reflective of that. They have four points from four matches, but it should be said that they have faced Arsenal and Manchester City already, both away from home.
If Luton suffer another defeat without really looking like a win was on the cards, those fears of a terrible season will only intensify.

Tottenham vs Sheffield United
- Location: London, England
- Stadium: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
- Date: Saturday 16 September
- Kick-off Time: 15:00 BST / 10:00 ET / 07:00 PT
- Referee: Peter Bankes
- VAR: Graham Scott
Easily one of the most confident teams in the league right now, Tottenham fans will be viewing this game as another opportunity to get three points on the board while the mood is high.
There is mathematical scope for Tottenham to be top of the Premier League at the end of the weekend, but the same can be said for five other teams. After three consecutive victories with some great football on display, Sheffield United should be fearful about their trip south.
The Blades only have one point to show for their efforts so far and it would take a great performance to change that this weekend.

West Ham vs Man City
- Location: London, England
- Stadium: London Stadium
- Date: Saturday 16 September
- Kick-off Time: 15:00 BST / 10:00 ET / 07:00 PT
- Referee: Andy Madley
- VAR: Darren Bond
Nobody wants to play Manchester City right now, but one team that could potentially give them a bit of a game is West Ham. They have started the season very well and while they are serious underdogs, this will be no easy outing for Man City.
West Ham have won their last three league fixtures and looked good while doing it, but only Man City have won all four of their opening Premier League matches. Both teams have got European fixtures to come next week so there is no edge for West Ham in that sense.
It should be a great spectacle, providing City don't grab an early lead.

Man Utd vs Brighton
- Location: Manchester, England
- Stadium: Old Trafford
- Date: Saturday 16 September
- Kick-off Time: 15:00 BST / 10:00 ET / 07:00 PT
- Referee: Jarred Gillett
- VAR: Chris Kavanagh
Manchester United have had a pretty terrible international break with Antony's abuse allegations meaning he will be out of action as well as Jadon Sancho falling out with Erik ten Hag.
Rasmus Hojlund is in line to make his full debut which would also allow Marcus Rashford to play on the left, his favoured position, but Erik ten Hag has a host of injuries to deal with as the Red Devils prepare to take on a Brighton team that has looked really good so far this season.
Brighton will know there is a great chance to get a victory at Old Trafford here, but there are still plenty of superb players at Man Utd who can hurt the Seagulls.

Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace
- Location: Birmingham, England
- Stadium: Villa Park
- Date: Saturday 16 September
- Kick-off Time: 15:00 BST / 10:00 ET / 07:00 PT
- Referee: Darren England
- VAR: Robert Jones
Both of these teams have enjoyed a pretty positive start to the new season, particularly Crystal Palace. They have amassed seven points from the first four games, a great return considering the Eagles were at real risk of getting relegated last season.
Villa have got loftier ambitions than Palace this season despite sitting lower in the table and will view this as a match they have to win if they are to keep pace with the European qualification places.

Newcastle vs Brentford
- Location: Newcastle, England
- Stadium: St James' Park
- Date: Saturday 16 September
- Kick-off Time: 17:30 BST / 12:30 ET / 09:30 PT
- Referee: Craig Pawson
- VAR: John Brooks
Newcastle probably didn't expect to be in 14th place coming into this game, did they?
The Magpies started so well with a dominant win over Aston Villa, but since then it has been three defeats in a row to tough opposition in Man City, Liverpool and Brighton.
Brentford are a good team but this is where Newcastle will want to really get their season underway. Anything other than a win here will make fans quite nervous, but Eddie Howe must also remember that they are due at San Siro to face AC Milan on Tuesday night in their Champions League return.
