As we near the end of a fascinating month of Premier League football, it marks us closer to the end of the campaign. But also - more interestingly - it sets up an action-packed conclusion for those threatened by the drop.

But don't fret as teams still have enough time to alter their fate, but better act quickly to determine their status in the top flight.

Nottingham Forest's 3-2 loss at Liverpool may prove crucial in their hopes of remaining a Premier League outfit, while fellow relegation battlers Leeds also failed to pick up on any points on the road to Fulham in the Saturday lunchtime fixture.

The battle at the bottom is just as exciting as the one at the peak as multiple teams are still mathematically at risk of plummeting from the Premier League.

Unfortunately for those who support Nottingham Forest, they continued their winless streak and are now without a win in 11 games, with Liverpool the most recent to deliver the hammer blow. Sat at the bottom of the form table and 19th overall, Steve Cooper's position at the club is beginning to become awfully perilous.

Javi Garcia's Leeds made it three losses on the bounce to prolong a forgettable April. Even without talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic, Fulham possessed too much for them going forward with the away side's only goal coming thanks to a Joao Palhinha own-goal.

Southampton's share of the spoils with table-topping Arsenal was not enough to see them budge from rock bottom, though their deserved three points may have significantly altered their chances of staying up. Despite their enthralling affair in the capital, their form of late is not for the faint-hearted and their official league standings mirror this.

No goals in Everton's fixture against the presumably safe Crystal Palace continued their tumultuous form, taking three draws from six games. In their remaining six fixtures, they will face Manchester City who are gunning for the top spot and Brighton and Newcastle who are currently on course for European places.

Goals from Kelechi Iheanacho and Timothy Castagne saw Leicester bolt up the table into 17th place, safe from the drop zone merely on goal difference. Their results of late, however, blemish their most recent outing as they failed to pick up any points in four previous April fixtures, which has given newly appointed Dean Smith a means for concern.

Wolves were subject to the defeat, however, as they notch another loss into their season record. This defeat follows two consecutive home victories without conceding. In regards to their position in the league, they are fairly comfortable in relation to other relegation-threatened sides, but don't let that dismiss the fact they have a series of difficult tests on the horizon, with Brighton, Aston Villa, Manchester United and Arsenal still to play.

Tomorrow's afternoon bout between West Ham and Bournemouth could cause quite the torment in the bottom half as the two sides reside in 15th and 14th place, respectively. The Cherries, however, are enjoying an unexpected turn of events, accruing four wins from six (three of those being against top-half sides).
