Premier League results 28/12: Spurs held at 10-man Southampton & Leicester shock Liverpool

The festive football keeps on rolling, folks. It's time for matchday 20 of the Premier League!
After some Christmas crackers on Boxing Day and the bank holiday frenzy Newcastle and Man Utd served up on Monday, we're back at it again.
Here are your live updates for Tuesday's games.
Crystal Palace 3-0 Norwich City
Norwich's hopes of surviving remain bleak after a 3-0 loss at Crystal Palace.
They made the worst possible start at Selhurst Park suffered an immediate blow when Odsonne Edouard scored an eighth-minute penalty.
Kenny McLean clumsily brought down Will Hughes, and the Frenchman cooly converted from the spot.
Things went from bad to worse for Dean Smith's side when they conceded another just before the interval, with Jean-Philippe Mateta grabbing just his second goal in Palace colours.
Jeff Schlupp added a third moments later to compound Norwich's misery, whose only consolation was that Palace went easy on them in a quiet second half.

Southampton 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham failed to make their one-man advantage count after being held to a 1-1 draw at Southampton.
The Saints grabbed a deserved lead midway through the first half through club captain James Ward-Prowse.
A loose ball fell to the England international and he curled it beautifully into the far corner with the outside of his boot.
But Spurs - who rarely threatened in the first half - were handed a route back into the game when Mohammed Salisu foolishly tripped Son Heung-min in the box, receiving his second yellow card before Harry Kane fired home from the penalty spot.
Kane thought he had given Spurs the lead after a lovely ball over the top from Harry Winks, but after a lengthy VAR check, he was deemed offside.
Matt Doherty also thought he'd put Spurs ahead after Fraser Forster spilled the ball into his net, but his blushes were spared after referee Anthony Taylor believed he'd been fouled.
Spurs continued to knock on the door but were ultimately left frustrated on the south coast.

Watford 1-4 West Ham United
Watford returned to Premier League action after their last three games were called off due to a Covid-19 outbreak, but were left bitterly disappointed after a 4-1 defeat at home to West Ham
They had actually made the best possible start when Emmanuel Dennis fired them in front in the first five minutes.
The Nigeria international - who will be sorely missed by the Hornets while he's at the Africa Cup of Nations next month - found the top corner with a stunning strike.
But West Ham equalised midway through the opening 45 through Tomas Soucek, before Said Benrahma put them ahead just moments later.
Whatever David Moyes said to his side at half-time had the desired effect as Jarrod Bowen found the back of the net just after the break, but a VAR check ruled his strike out.
But club captain Mark Noble did add a third from the spot soon after to give West Ham a comfortable lead.
Nikola Vlasic grabbed West Ham's fourth with the clock running down to condemn Watford to a fifth straight loss.

Leicester City 1-0 Liverpool
Liverpool fell to a shock 1-0 defeat to Leicester City in the final game of the day.
Liverpool started strongly and won a penalty when Mohamed Salah was brought down by Wilfred Ndidi in the box. However, the Egyptian could not convert the resulting spot kick, nor the rebound.
Soon after, Kasper Schmeichel denied Salah again, this time flinging an arm out to prevent him converting from close range. Leicester finished the half strongly though, with James Maddison and Jamie Vardy both spurning opportunities.
Liverpool started the second period strongly and should have gone ahead through Sadio Mane, who fired over when clean through on goal.
Leicester made their visitors pay on the hour when substitute, and former Everton man, Ademola Lookman combined excellently with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall before smashing past Alisson.
Liverpool pressed their hosts hard trying to find an equaliser but Leicester defended superbly and hung on for a shock three points.
