Premier League confirm Man Utd double for Player and Manager of the Month awards
- Maguire picks up player award after recall and resurgence in United's defence
- Ten Hag wins manager prize for third time since his arrival at Old Trafford
- The Red Devils still searching for consistency and sitting sixth in Premier League table
Harry Maguire and Erik ten Hag have been named the Premier League Player of the Month and Manager of the Month respectively for November.
Manchester United have struggled for consistency this season, losing ten of the 22 games they've played in all competitions, and sit sixth in the Premier League table after winning nine matches and losing six.
But November was a really good month for the Red Devils, with the club winning all three of their matches in the month. They were the only side to not drop points in the division, seeing off the threats of Fulham, Luton Town and Everton.
Not only did United win all of their games, they also didn't concede a goal in November - a run that coincided with the return of former captain Maguire in defence.
The 30-year-old has been widely criticised for his performances over the past year and has often been left on the bench by Ten Hag, with an exit from Old Trafford appearing to be a near certainty in the summer before a move to West Ham eventually fell through.
Maguire was recently recalled to the side at the expense of Raphael Varane, whose own future at United has come into question, and he was back to his commanding best to help shore things up in a defence that has leaked far too many goals this season.
Similarly, Ten Hag has been under huge pressure thanks to recent results, but United are still within touching distance of the top four and are level on points with fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur, who have slid down the table after a superb start to life under Ange Postecoglou.
This is the third time that Ten Hag has been named Manager of the Month following his appointment last summer - legendary United manager Sir Alex Ferguson currently holds the records for most wins after scooping the award 27 times.
