Premier League predictions: Gameweek 24

Premier League action continues to captivate audiences around the world with the tantalising prospect of a three-horse race for the 2023/24 title.

Arsenal delivered a mighty blow last weekend by downing Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium, with the pair now separated by just two points while Manchester City prowl ominously in second.

It's the Cityzens who kick off Gameweek 24 with a home clash against Everton before nine more fascinating fixtures from England's top flight.

Here's how 90min sees this weekend's slate of games panning out.

Saturday

Manchester City should hit the top of the Premier League table if they beat Everton as expected in Saturday's early kick-off. The Toffees haven't won a league game at the Etihad since 2010, though did manage a draw on New Year's Eve last season.

Fulham and Bournemouth have been opponents in the Premier League and Championship in recent years, with their last three top-flight encounters returning ten goals in entertaining matches.

Liverpool may have been pushed off their perch by the time they host Burnley at Anfield. The Clarets made life difficult for the Reds in the reverse fixture but a comfortable victory for Jurgen Klopp's outfit is still expected.

Luton Town remain as spirited as ever, maintaining a one-point lead over 18th-placed Everton after their hectic 4-4 draw at Newcastle, and the Hatters will fancy their duel with Sheffield United, who have shown few signs of improvement and were thrashed 5-0 by Aston Villa last time out.

Goals aplenty will surely arrive in north London when Tottenham Hotspur do battle with Brighton & Hove Albion. Ange Postecoglou and Roberto De Zerbi promise entertaining football from their sides and Saturday's match could end up being a cricket score.

Only Man City and Liverpool can boast better form over the past six games than Wolves, who impressed again by thumping Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Brentford are still looking over their shoulder ahead of their trip to Molineux but remain hopeful that Ivan Toney's quality can steer them away from danger over the coming months.

Newcastle couldn't get their act together long enough to get past Luton, with Eddie Howe still hamstrung by a significant injury list. However, Nottingham Forest may well be similarly fatigued after an FA Cup replay with Bristol City went to penalties in midweek.

Sunday

On Sunday, West Ham have the chance to win three games on the bounce against Arsenal for the first time since 2007. The Hammers were successful on their trip to north London in late December, earning a 2-0 victory, but proceedings might not go so swimmingly here with the Gunners buoyed after last week's 3-1 win over Liverpool.

Manchester United haven't lost in over a month and have welcomed some key players back from injury. The Red Devils are looking better, but Sunday's journey to Aston Villa is fraught with danger. Only Liverpool and Arsenal have picked up more home points than Unai Emery's side so far this season.

Monday

Mauricio Pochettino managed to quieten some of the detracting voices as his Chelsea side won at Aston Villa in a midweek FA Cup replay, but the Blues continue to tilt between the top and bottom halves of the table. Crystal Palace have hardly made Selhurst Park a fortress this term with just three victories, but Chelsea have lost five of their last six away league outings.
