After enduring the September international break, the return of UEFA's club competitions in midweek ensured our insatiable footballing desires were fulfilled in between Premier League gameweeks.
The addition of European football to the calendar always provides an interesting dynamic to the following weekend's action, with managers rotating their sides to reduce the risk of burnout during the latter stages of the campaign.
Eight Premier League sides were in continental action in the week ahead of a Gameweek 6 that treats us to the first north London derby of the season.
Here's how 90min thinks this weekend could play out.
Premier League predictions: Week 6
A change to this weekend's TV scheduling means there's no Saturday lunchtime kick-off, which will undoubtedly please managers, and there's an even spread of fixtures over the weekend as a result of four teams competing in Europe on Thursday.
The opening three fixtures of the weekend take place during the 3pm blackout where Manchester City are in action. The Cityzens, who continued their perfect start to the season with a 3-1 win over Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday, host Nottingham Forest at the Etihad. Forest were the worst-performing away side in the division last season but have already ran Arsenal and Man Utd close on their travels this term.
Crystal Palace host Fulham in a not-so-fierce London derby with the Eagles hoping to return to winning ways against a side that scraped past Luton on home soil last weekend. While retaining Joao Palhinha was a massive coup for Fulham, it looks as if this season is going to be a struggle for the goal-shy Cottagers.
Speaking of blunt teams, Wolves have performed woefully in front of goal at the start of 2023/24, but there's reason for optimism with Gary O'Neil at the helm. His side visit Luton on Saturday, with the Hatters still searching for their first Premier League points.

The TV action begins on Saturday evening with Brentford hosting Everton in west London. It's a contest that doesn't exactly inspire on paper, although the Bees have started the campaign strongly in the absence of the talismanic Ivan Toney.
The day's action then concludes with a treat as Manchester United visit Burnley on a rare Saturday night kick-off. Erik ten Hag's side slipped into crisis mode after last weekend's 3-0 defeat at home to Brighton and desperately need three points against a side that have been cast aside by City, Aston Villa, and Tottenham on home soil already this season.
Sunday's offering is highlighted by an eagerly-anticipated north London derby which sees Ange Postecoglou's euphoric Tottenham visit title hopefuls Arsenal. The Gunners have enjoyed a controlled start to the campaign, while Spurs will undoubtedly be confident of securing their first Premier League win at the Emirates since 2010.
Three more games will be ongoing while those two foes collide, with Liverpool hosting West Ham, Brighton facing Bournemouth and Aston Villa travelling to Chelsea. The Blues need to ignite their campaign somehow, but they'll find it difficult to do so against Unai Emery's drilled Villans.
The weekend's action concludes at Bramall Lane as Sheffield United, deflated from last week's collapse in north London, host Champions League returnees Newcastle. The Blades will seek to frustrate the Magpies in Sheffield, with Eddie Howe's side securing their second win of the season last Saturday against Brentford.
